...There is no OVA. lol.

He was just saying that the whole story was wrapped up in the anime, minus the obvious romance.

Literally the OVA would only be a kiss. lol.

There actually is an ova to Clannad
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...me.php?id=6436
Its nothing special, it just sums up TV/After Story into an hour and a half.

Uh, no thats the movie.

The movie is by toei animation and came out before the anime, but based on the same original visual novel. Clannad does have two OVA's which are the stories of Tomoyo and Kyou, however we were discussing the possibility of the a Kotomi OVA, which there won't be because of reasons explained

An OVA is an addition to the anime, which the movie isn't (its an earlier retelling of the same story, so they are only connected by the source material) and just a movie is a movie and an OVA is an OVA. Movie's get widescale advertising, they are big releases and they are much longer than OVA's, the movie gets a DVD of its own, and a movie stands on its own, OVA's are extra episodes.

You couldn't call the movie an OVA to the anime, thats just not correct.

An OVA is generally a direct to DVD or BD or Home release. The Tomoyo and Kyou extra chapters are OVA's.

If OVA is (Original Video Animation) or atleast thats what I guess.. Wouldnt the Kyou and Tomoya side chapter not be an OVA since it was from the game itself? I'm just not understanding OVA and its link to the storyline I just thought that OVA is just a complete spinoff from the story and "completely made up things/scenes about the anime" from the anime producers.

@Hooves: no. OVA's are simply direct to home production (DVD's and the like) anime episodes that don't air on tv.

@genjichan: Once again, it'd be like 20 seconds long. Most, if not all of the Kotomi arc was covered in the anime, minus the romance.

So does this mean that my childhood was all wrong? And when I was watching an "OVA", I was really watching a movie, and vice versa? *sigh* thanks for the answer

Oh btw, just wanted to mention that KOTOMI HAS THE SWEETEST ASS EVER. As far as anime girls are concerned, her curves are unmatched.

^ This should probably be my avatar on every forum I ever go to.

As for the rest of the Clannad girls...give up. Kotomi is the hottest one by far.

THANKS FOR PLAYING

lol yea, anime has too many anorexic chicks with oversized breasts, we need more Kotomi-type with the curves.

You only realised now?

Go back to episode 11, before they take her down when she offers to play the violin.

YOU SEE THE HOURGLASS AND THE CHEST.

OH MY GOD THE CHEST.

Of course not.

And besides, http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...51#post1290151 has it official she has the largest rack. Which makes sense, since in anime, boobs= power, and that violin shockwave proves it.

Totally agree that Kotomi has an awesome figure. Very curvaceous to say the least!

This, I have to admit, is a significant part of the reason why I like her character so much.

Mmmm... I have to admit that one thing I like about Kotomi is that she actually has fairly realistic looking proportions - the effect isn't so much big breasted as full figured, which I tend to prefer. Personally, I also feel she comes across as more "soft and huggable" than sexy as well.

All this being said, the primary reason I like her is actually her personality - her social awkwardness and speech mannerisms (I love Noto Mamiko's voicework) are both very, very endearing.

Like Wontaek, I think there's a pretty good chance that she's autistic even if Key wouldn't say so.

Reading this comment makes me wonder if her violin playing would be better if she were drunk. She's probably a featherweight too, since her "official specs" put her at 160cm (five feet, three inches) and too light to donate blood to the Canadian Red Cross.
