The pudding image has been available colored on danbooru forever. It has a very nice pastel look. I'll reup it and post in this post I guess.

Well, not so pastel. Was confusing it with another one.

I have lived through a severe emotional trauma, and I can confirm that this is how some people (in particular: stoic introverts) deal with it. At first, you are devastated, completely broken, and then you pack your pain in a box in the corner of your mind and try not to think about it. To the outside world, it looks like you got over it happily but whenever you are alone, pain and guilt crawl out of the box to haunt you. It also helps a lot if there is a particular person you can whine to when it gets especially bad, and Nanoha played that emotional crutch role nicely in A's.

Granted, I was twice as old as Fate at the time, but the Nanoha cast were always older than they look.

Vita is only flat because she chose to remain in "Loli-form". Who knows what she'll look like if she ever decides to "grow-up".

I wonder if she can "decide" to grow up at all. Otherwise, her pettanko issues would be unjustified.

Transformation magic doesn't seem to be draining, considering how Yuuno "forgot" that he could change back, and we know the Wolkies can do it since Shamal mentioned it in A's, so all it'd take is a bit of focus et voila.

But Vita likes to be treated like a daughter by Hayate, so I don't think she has much motivation.

With Yuuno, his ferret form was purposely small to conserve energy. The opposite would be true if Vita used it to grow.

Apparently depends on the artist, covers and art from Yukari Higa give her a more blonde-ish look while the guy of the NEXT designs pales her hair so much that it make it to look silver-ish.

Whatever, i'm still expecting Cypha doing something actually impressive instead of keep holding to that little achievement.
