Yep - as a short this series works for me for some reason. I have actually found myself re-watching all the eps to get an "overall image" of sorts, and it seems to work quite nicely.

Am glad it will stretch into the next season as well, it is a pleasant little "snack" of sorts for me.

Still liking the characters here. Saru is a great boke, and Chiyo's spaceheadedness is funny. She was a bit tragic in real life, having no children, and her husband messing around with other women and men; nice to see her being happy. She was the only good thing about the Nobunaga Concerto anime as well, which is why I stopped watching it.

A bit jarring that Kaname and her boyfriend will probably remain the same age throughout Nobunaga's life story; that kind of thing works better in 4-panels. An assassination mission, if Chidori goes through with it, is also much more serious than anything else so far.

Shame there isn't much discussion for this anime. The humour is good, but simple, and there aren't enough obscure events for history buffs. The new op isn't so good as the last, but a bit ominous with the burning village. Of course, Nobunaga ended up invading Chidori's home, and having Oichi's husband's skull made into a sake cup...

Must be a California thing.

Still, all jokes aside yes - I enjoy it; for me it works quite well as a short anime series. Although Admittedly one of the things that hooked me in was the OP1 - I really liked the singer.

Yeah, I'm still watching the show and will continue to do so. It's short, it's fun, and I can always make time for it.

I watch it, I really like it, but there's not much things to discuss.

That's true, but glad I'm not alone. Well I figured I probably wasn't, but you never know.

You know, I think it might rival Nobunaga Concerto as my favorite Nobunaga show. (well, there's also Drifters, but it's not really a Nobunaga anime).

This show is still pretty funny, but it relies on running gags a lot. If the strength of the series is characters over hisorical detail, I'd like to see more of Nene especially than her bad cooking.

What did you like about Nobunaga Concerto anime? Kicho was very pretty, and had some nice chemistry with the protagonist in the first episode. But plot developments such as Masahide's assassination, not suicide, and Dousan's origin story seemed badly handled and improbable, on top of the basically unconvincing idea that a ordinary teenager could step into Nobunaga's sandals.

The girl can be as dumb as brick but is ten times as useful. (Usually xD)

Lol, the Kouga army was never used, nice way to finish that war in 1 episode. Nice that Hanbei and the bike gang leader got well used. Now one ep left for the mount Hei massacre...or more probably, more hijinks.

EDIT: Funny how Nobunaga tell his people not to let their guard down, when he's right next to Akechi...
