I doubt Sorachi will kill them since they have been within the cast for so long and the only ones who actually died were on their debuts like Okita's sister and Hijikata's nemesis

Ch 609 & 610: I never imagined the day we would see the Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon, and what a glorious sight it was! The ending of 609 had me do a double-take ("Wait, what? Gorilla isn't killing them off is he?"), but after 610, I'm pretty certain Tama at least is going to be back. Gengai just needs to screw that data back in after this is all over.
