Vol12, flashback of events between KYH and Cosmos. Cosmos 'shot' the gun Red Rider made for defending your territory, nuking a distirct in Unlimited Accel Field with Incarnation. KYH thought it was from the gun, and this led to her killing Rider at the 7 Kings meeting. Later she found out from Rider's drop of his gun that it doesn't actually fire, the destructive power was solely from Cosmos alone.

Except Cosmos had told KYH Red Rider's gun was a Incarnation Gun It was expected to glow, and act as a deterrent for inter-legion combat. Each King's legion will have one of these, and be unstoppable in defending their own territory. Safety locks will be built in to only be capable of being fired when your territory is under attack.

Of course, as KYH found out, this was all a pack of lies. The gun doesn't fire.

...no way I'm translating this anytime soon though. As a Singaporean citizen I'm due for enlistment in the army, aka National Service. That happens in a month and when that does my translation progress will be near zero. So that's a month left to do whatever I can of V11.

I read the BT thread, but just to update you and other novel readers...

Breakdown16, the translator of V8, is more or less stuck. His computer suffered moe death gave up the ghost and is currently inoperable, and the hard drive is presently awaiting a rescue. So V8 updates are on hiatus for now.

So garf, it's still likely we'll have a long wait for side stories to come out. I could rush one of them, but that'll put off V11 until...until...heck, I can't even estimate. Naturally I cannot use a computer in the army camp.

Xplorer30 gave me the go-ahead for adding the SSs to BT; with any luck, we'll soon get to read the backstories for Graphite Edge and Blood Leopard. (: Breakdown16 is now translating both V8 and 黒の双剣、銀の双翼 (Black Twin Swords, Twin Silver Wings), while I am translating V11 and 赤炎の軌跡 (Traces Of Prominence), which I mistranslated as Flaming Red Orbit previously. ^_^"

Edit: Kai Ding is putting V7 on hold for RL reasons apparently. So go pick up a new series or something, my guess is that he'll be away for a few weeks apparently.

For those of you who have been patiently waiting for an update, here's Flere821's summary of Chapter 1 from Davy Jones' Locker one of the first 50 pages of this forum I think. Spoiler for Chrome Falcon/Disaster.

More news, since we're talking backstories:

Liaising with AzNisPolly HimekoTachibana from Neg/a/ Nebulas, I obtained Chinese translations of the spinoff manga Dural Magisa Garden, chapters 2-11 garf02, send my regards to her/him.

I won't be translating these with two projects already filling up my backlog, so would you guys want summaries instead? I'll throw in some of the good scenes if there are any.

Edit: Tap is already the translator for DMG. :X

Summaries it is from next post (: I've read chapter 2, maybe I'll read chapter 3 while I'm at it. But it'll be about 15 or so hours later because I have to work first, and I can't access the images any way other than my laptop.

Tap has already translated up to chapter 5 as I've heard, but the main pain is typesetting as he said; it really is no joke. The Japanese and Chinese raws both had their text aligned vertically, so short of shrinking the text down to absurdly small font English typsetting is not so straightforward for this project.

In the army I'll get to book out each weekend after two weeks I think, though it depends on whther I screwed and have to stay for guard duty " I finish the training after three months but I'll be posted to some unit after that, for an additional 21 months.

So it's a big question mark over the translation thingy. I would definitely want to sleep on the weekends, yet I enjoy translation as well... too little time dilemma again.

So, does anyone know when the translator(s) of BT be updating Vol. 5, it would b quite exciting to read about happen happen to Haru when the Disaster Armor takes control of him and changes his Duel Avatar form.
Also, do you think anyone could explain in Vol. 9 when Haru was confronted by the Green King and a member of his Legion; I heard that Silver Crow was talking to the 'Beast' of the armor and worked together, if so did the King and his member take note of this, what were their reactions?

Eternal Dreamer is the translator for V5, he's going at a slow pace but his quality is quite good, I'd say.

Beast and Haru communicate mentally, not speaking aloud, so the Kings don't know Beast exists inside the Armour.

Wow, it referenced NASA's plan to capture an asteroid. However in our reality, it is for mining for resources not for building a space tower.

It's cute that KYH learned to cook for Haru's sake.

It's not really a reference to NASA's recent plan for capturing an asteroid. Rather plans for capturing asteroids for mining, colony construction, and elevator counter weights have been around for quite some time, the author just did the basic research. A bit more than the basic research actually, as most people just stop at orbital elevators, and don't look past that to skyhooks.
