Well could be worse....could be like telling Captain Picard his great-great-great-great-great+ granddaddy was Hitler....but he still talks like an Englishman.

There is no mention in that article of any evidence newer than ~1980. Most of all no mention of any genetic evidence.
So why is this a story now? And why would anyone want to be known as Hitler's grandchild?

Gunn said that at that point Dewina confronted the Arab, which only made him more furious because he reckoned the receptionist, who is a Muslim, should also be angry.

He then hit Dewina in the face with a plastic bag, prompting Gunn and his girlfriend to come to the receptionist's aid.

"My girlfriend told him that he cannot attack a woman. And then, she was also attacked," he said.

The Arab man then stormed out of the lodge and left in a taxi. He did not settle his bill with the lodge.

Okay, that was uncalled for. Just because he didn't like what he saw doesn't give him the right to attack people. Despite what the man thinks, East Malaysia is least conservative than West Malaysia(I remember they recognize the marriage of a man and his sex change girlfriend while West Malaysia refuse.)

You'd have thunk any of the royalties for Mein Kampf would have all been claimed or something for war reparations or something. The book isn't for sale anymore is it? Would that mean that the family would be able to claim whatever Hitler may had squirrel'd away in some swiss bank somewhere (or any of his other possessions)?

It would be kind of awkward for any kids/grandkids at school. You'd get so much crap if/when they found out who your grandfather is.

Interesting story though.

You can find it in book stores. It is usually purchased for examination in college courses if I remember correctly.

Conservatism is supposed to be extinct.

Usually the best treatment for these people trapped in the past is a good hard punch in the face; foreigner or not.

Btw, some of the lower comments are true : they love Bangkok girls. My friend went there and snapped photos of their red-light district - he got to the special section where there were plenty of arab-looking men fishing for the best at the fish tanks.
