Am I the only person who think that the OST near the end of ep. is super-beautiful?

The Small Blade. Battle of Trost - Part 3

One of Shingeki no Kyojin's most effective elements is the soundtrack. The music is put in this series as a gauge to let known to the viewers when the carnage is at the climax, when despair and regret sink into the characters towards a rock bottom, and sometimes when a glimmer of hope unexpectantly pops up from the most unpredictable place.

Granted, it becomes heartwrenching, agonizing, and resentful for me to watch all those soldiers getting helplessly devoured by the Titans. An emotion mutually shared with Jean from his looks on what he's seeing at the battlefield.

Mikasa, as well, put on a calm act to motivate her fellow soldiers after learning from Armin about Eren's death. When people start to get familiar with Mikasa all they learn is that Eren only matters to her without regards for anybody else. That may have been truth until this episode, although not entirely truth.
The episode saw both Armin and Mikasa falling, then sinking rock bottom into the abyss of despair, but they experienced a shock of sorts that gave them a breath back to the world of living. For Mikasa was not losing her will to live and to keep on fighting, because what Eren said to her at the time of their childhood resonates her whole world, "Fight, and you will live. Don't fight, and you will die". Her rise pave way for her growing-up and understanding that everybody else counts as well in the fight to survive.

Moving on, the soundtrack continues enhancing the emotions that the show delivers, and once you listen to the sixth score from the first soundtrack, "Vogel Im Kafig", you'll absolutely love it. A song that primarily delves on humanity refusing to dissappear without giving the fight of its lifetime. Perfectly epitomized in the form of the mysterious, rogue Titan appearing out of nowhere starting his own slaughterfest against the other Titans much to both Armin and Mikasa's confusion.
