Hmm.. I was under the impression that editors were more concerned with proper English usage than with reviewing the accuracy of the translation itself... am I wrong there?

That would be a translator then. Most groups don't distinguish between translators and translation checkers since in order to check a translation you should be capable of translating.

That's the very series I was coming into this thread to mention! It breaks my heart that nobody has touched the series since November. I love it very much, and several of my friends do too. Has a.f.k. completely dropped the project? I tried to get in contact through the IRC channel to find out the status but had no luck.

I'm bumping this thread because I'm getting very angry at Naisho about Gakuen Alice. It feels like they're just fooling us.

Please have a look at their forum to realize how groups know how to be irritating too.
Dragosmore just posted one single message, ignoring us and our polite asking, not for a release, but for some info about the situation the group is in.

I think it's Louis XIV who said once, as someone was surprised by the fact he was always on time : "Punctuality is the politeness of Kings".

As far as I know, naisho aren't kings. I repeat no one is expecting a release. I just think they don't know the meaning of the word courtesy. Dragosmore said in mid-july ep.16 was "close to completion". September is getting nearer, and there's not even a single news or a post. The only post he posted (right after mine, like he's enjoying it) is completely irrelevant and that's why I'm thinking he's fooling everyone. And that's why I'm really pissed off.

naisho forum

I don't even wait for Animal Yokocho or Windy Tales anymore, but the Gakuen Alice case really deserves some attention.

Flame me if you mean to. I never asked for anything, just some explanations...

The Gargoyle of the Yoshinagas. The fansubs have yet to go further than the first episode, which is a shame because the show looked promising.

I think Hiatari Ryoukou should be completed ... if it is, by any chance, stalled. I find that Adachi anime are really well-made, and HR is no exception.

Either it's being subbed really slowly.. or the person that was posting them up on youtube has stopped because I haven't been able to find a site for the fansubbers of this anime

I vote for another Adachi series, Miyuki.

Unfortunately, the show itself was stalled... thus depriving us of potentially one of the best anime endings of all time - the lovers enjoying their honeymoon on the beach with Omoide ga Ippai playing in the background.
