^I disagree. A Mary Magdalene is someone who is always misinterpreted as a sinner. Lacus in GSD is by no means that. The suitable candidate for such a role, given the parallelism is.... points at avatar

Well, Lacus was pretty much interpreted as such. She was hated by all factions (except for some core characters) until the very end. Yeah, thats right. Orb, ZAFT and Earth all considered her as the greatest sinner to humanity at one point.

For two seasons, no less

I quite agree, but the problem is. I'm basing my arguement from the fan's POV, your POV is from inside the universe. Not really driving anyone a point but, that seems to be the difference.
