Eh, I think it's more of business tactics than that.

That's definitely AKS business model, not an issue in term of space, otherwise, they could do just make part of the game being downloadable like LA Noire without making the customers pay more.

I could definitely see them wanting to get some money via DLC (that's pretty much is a standard with fighting games these days). However, considering how the upcoming SNK Heroine game for the PS4 and Switch also has a small amount of fighters for a tag-team based game (and with me wondering if that game will have DLC characters in the future), I do wonder if cartridge size is also playing a role here (with Japanese companies trying to avoid the LA Noire route of having to download the rest of game onto the Switch).

If characters come in free DLC or can be bought with a few million of in-game currency, then it's cool...one can only hope.

I feel like this is a MvC:I situation where they were given a severely limited budget.

Personally, I don't particularly mind if the price is reasonable (say... $40 for the base game and $20 for DLC), but given the recycled sprites and limited roster, I definitely understand the backlash.

That's possible considering a lot of Arc Systems Works' effort seems to be towards that DBZ fighting game.

The Japanese LE version will come with a download code for ALL the DLC characters, so I wonder how much it is.

YES! They finally wise up that it wasn't a good idea of making half of Team RWBY DLC.

Not paid compared to paying $8 a character in regular BlazBlue.
