It's worth watching as a curiosity. It looks good and the cast is solid (both languages), but takes an extraordinarily simplistic view of history and as I said, is stuffed to bursting with cliche anime (or perceived as such by non-anime fans) nonsense that's totally out of place in the setting.

It is another anime story based on historical record. I remember Youtuber discussed about how an African became a samurai in Japan. The Youtuber also discussed about how a historical African became a feudal lord in India. No wonder Netflix sponsored the project. The historical background is unique. Anime would add additional action and story twist.
