I'm fairly certain the type of fire which burnt the school is different with what burned Hanakawa's house. They were just tricking us so we thought it is from the same cause. This case there was ashes, but no fire, siren and the like
By Mayoi hindsight, Araragi disappearances, Shinobu's mention on how Araragi may get killed....i suspect this arc is right now running along another arc from Araragi's POV. So most likely the cat and Shinobu will part way later, and Hanakawa has to deal with the tiger, while Araragi dealing with something Mayoi-related. All is my guess through

Overall an enjoyable episode. Shinobu is so damn moe you cant help but smile.
Im kind of dissapointed that so much of the dialogue and introspection is all done to the backdrop of naked Hanekawa + whoever else they can get in the scene. I know it's written that way in the LN but I do prefer when they use their creativity and unusual art to keep it fresh. That being said I love the series to bits; fan service and all. I'm sure some guys are missing plot points in the subtitles while err, more exciting things are happening on screen >_< Can't wait for next EPISODE Should be interesting. |

I have a question though that keeps picking at me:
Is this version of Neko Hanekawa the same as the one that was in the OVA earlier this year? Because she seems more subdued and more of a good guy while in the OVA Spoiler:
Otherwise, WTF happened to Tsukihi's hair?!

Watch the ep again. Shinobu point out the difference between Terminator and Terminator 2. Perhaps you missed it? Also, Tsukihi change hairstyle constantly.

lolicons aside, I loved how Tsubasa was squashed between the two sisters in that bathtub, all embarrassed about how her social life is completely out of her control... she just curled up between them unwillingly agreeing to what they were suggesting... direction- and acting-wise that was brilliant, the exact opposite effect on the same background for the scene with Shinobu and Koyomi in Nise-... where most of the viewers paid attention to "the other plot" going on
Now to the main deal of the arc, changing perspective from Koyomi to Tsubasa was a brilliant choice from the writer, because otherwise deconstructive her character would have been impossible. Despite not learning anything new about Tsubasa, it is still so bloody awesome to hear her thoughts and how her insecurities build up, despite her potential... though, I still think that the book would work better, the direction makes up for the medium's incompatibility. |

Another outstanding episode. The absence of Koyomi allows all the girls to emerge more strongly. Loved Senjougahara's elegantly stilted manner and smooth manipulation. Adored the scene with Shinobu hanging from the ceiling and toying with Hanekawa -- even though I am not 100% on-side with Sakamoto Maaya in the role. I don't feel the edge I want in the voice. Too plain for me.
Hanekawa and her neko-form both seem subdued. After all, human Hanekawa knows that Koyomi and Senjougahara are the item, and she won't get a look in. And the "nyeko" has already been defeated once and knows she can't overcome the vampire. Is this the sense in which she has become "white"? Her carrying the princess was a fine thing. And the blank, queenly look on Shinobu's face as she was flown through the sky was excellent.

Well in Terminator 1, the terminator was the bad guy. In Terminator 2, the terminator was the good guy.
Anyway black hanekawa comes out to deal with hanekawa's source of stress. Unlike the previews 2 black hanekawa appearance, this time araragi has nothing to do with it. Its the giant tiger that's causing the stress, thats why you saw black hanekawa confront the tiger, but ended up retreating...

All that aside - Hanekawa has been my fave chara in this series to begin with (and Horie Yui voicing her certainly helps ) so I have been enjoying the series thus far. Definitely a "keeper".
