It's not a lockout, but it is a state of emergency. Due to WWII, the Japanese are VERY wary about authoritarian figures and so they truthfully have no legal power to prevent people or businesses from closing down. It's up to the production companies if they want to close and when to reopen if they do.

Haikyuu S4 Pt 2 officially delayed from planned summer premiere. Expect a lot more of these announcements.

I think it more likely that shows like Hoshiai no Sora, Sing "Yesterday" for Me, or Sakura Quest would get axed before those isekai series.

Well, "Yesterday" is finished so you don't have to worry about that one.

Yes, I know that. I included it more as an example of a type of anime I'd guess to be more vulnerable. I wonder if it would have been completed had it not already been in the can.

Yeah, in general principle I agree with you. Anything with an element of financial risk is going to be the first sort of show to be abandoned.

I think the new Higurashi is also seeing some delays and is not going to air during the summer season.

State of emergency seems to have been lifted throughout Japan. Maybe some semblance of production can return to a little bit of normalcy.

Some efforts are being made to protect seiyuu:

Lot easier than protecting actors in live-action productions.

Well, considering what Higurashi is about, I'm actually not sure when it will broadcast.

This season's CGDCT anime, Diary of our Days at the Breakwater, with the T being fishing, will return July 7th.

I enjoyed the three episodes released so far. Not too similar to Tsuritama though.
