Haha wow that was one hell of a chapter. I mean I really would like to see me some Mio and maybe Seto/Solva, but when the content of a chapter is this good and crazy I just don't care.
Spoiler:
I think Cruz's ability is power canceling, which explains most if not all of the incidents brought up this chapter. It's a common trope in unique ability systems like this, and I think it fits Cruz's character very well. I still don't think we are going to be seeing him on the front lines of combat any time soon.
there is just 1 or 2 problem here
Spoiler for spoiler:
IN most of this incident Cruz power was not full awake. Also in 2 of this he don't cancell the attack (at least i think) . Aruka was stoped and rain laser was deflected(but maybe this can be count like you say). Also the eyes even AA was wary about Yamada eyes in ch 100. How you explain the eyes that he dispaly in that vol when his power awake ?

Spoiler:
There is more then a few problems. Bending rain laser would is not canceling, he redirected/bent it. Also the Testament that was gonna crush Uchida, I don't 100% believe that was Solva, at least not entirely, we never saw the magnetic field. Also Cruz broke out of his shackles which were designed to hold down Needless, fairly easy.
Needless powers have a habit of being extremely simple and flexible, at least the really powerful ones are. I doubt Cruz is an exception. I really wish Cruz was here, so he could figure out his own fragment.
It still bugs me, why was Satan so worried about Cruz getting injured when the shattered door pierced him. I understand he wasn't trying to kill them, but he shouldn't have shown any urgency for Cruz.

Spoiler for spoiler:
Saten rushed not because he feared for Cruz's life but because he knew what would happen, and hurried in time to get sucked inside Blade's memories along with him. Had he not done that, only Cruz would have been absorbed.
And deflecting the Rain Laser, surviving that fall, surviving Cruel Vajra Fist, surviving Setsuna's blow, that has nothing to do with his power but the known advanced endurance of a needless along with their other traits such as enhanced strenght or high-speed recovery. In any of these extreme situations, normal humans die. The only time Cruz subconsciously used his power was when Arca was going to kill him again.
Blade himself explains that only a needless can survive the attack of another needless. This is why Cruz survived, as the first and most evident proof of his needless nature, Kafka's Kandata String.

Spoiler for hmm:
Saten may have worried that in a near death state Yamada may awaken and Saten might not wanted for Ishiyama to find out.
Your right about that canceling would not explain how Arca was stopped and rain laser was bent, BUT my theory about a space-time manipulation fragment does!
... Yeah I want Yamada to have that fragment so he could turn girls into lolis, sue me...
And how he broke the chains like nothing, I guess he just has great physical strength from awakening.
Rain Laser was bent because of Cruz's needless endurance. It's really no different from when he came out unscathed after sustaining Strom's icy blast.
It has nothing to do with his power which he only used, unknowingly, with Arca.

Spoiler for from translation:
Disk: Back then...
SFX: Dramatic Disk: You subconsciously repelled the Rain Laser.
Cruz: No way!!!
Disk: My memories are stored in my brain as video footage, so I am sure of it.
Disk: That Bionic Compressor girl was only barely able to shift those lasers by a few centimeters...
SFX: Rumble rumble Disk: but you completely bent one.
Doubt it just bounced of his body otherwise all the rain lasers would just bounce of him, so most likely he use his power. subconsciously

Ah, ok, I missed that.
Spoiler for spoiler:
Rereading that part again, I see both Mio and Rin were pierced by Hatfield's attacks. Meanwhile, Cruz only suffered a minor wound and the laser didn't even went through his arm.
So if I take it right, the high fall, surviving PF blast, surviving Setsuna's blow, surviving Toria's relentless attack, was all due to his needless endurance, whereas surviving Hatfield's and Strom's deadly attacks as well as stopping Arca on her tracks and blowing away the strongest flames, was product of his unknown fragment, right?

Spoiler for spoiler:
Well I think surviving Strom's deadly attacks is hard to say, it all looked like Yamada just tanked all those attacks from Strom's, but hard to say...
For now I think it just another thing that proves Yamada's endurance is extraordinary even for other needless.
I remember when they were in the Underground Town, Yamada said even a needless would die (referring to the giant hole that serves as a graveyard for testaments in the center of the town), yet he later fell from an even higher altitude and stood up with not a single bone broken. Even Setsuna & Kuchinashi, two full fledged needlesses, couldn't believe that.
Perhaps Cruz's fragment allows him to avert any type of damage to his body into the surroudings.
I've been thinking that when Arca died, she said to Cruz "the right hand of God and the left hand of God". I've been thinking: if Arca has one of the most powerfull offensive fragments, perhaps Cruz has the most powerfull "shield", an absolute defense that averts and avoids damage to him.
Half of the extreme situations he survived were due to the endurance all the needlesses have. But surviving deadly attacks such as Rain Laser is another thing.
His power doesn't help him avert any type of damage (for example, Hatfield broke his arm). However, when used subconsciously, he can achieve amazing feats such as... blowing away the strongest flames without any Heat Absorption ability.
Saten rushed not because he feared for Cruz's life but because he knew what would happen, and hurried in time to get sucked inside Blade's memories along with him. Had he not done that, only Cruz would have been absorbed.
That doesn't make sense at all, I doubt its has happened before where Satan was sucked into the past from someone punching Ishiyama's door of memories. He was generally worried because Cruz was hit with the shard, saying "Oh Shit" and reaching out to him.

Surviving the fall and Setsuna's blow fall into average Needless endurance, though Rain Laser was stated to pierce diamond, and was cleanly cutting through other Needless like Kana, Rin and Mio

I too think that Saten knows about Cruz, at least to the level Arca does.
Time manipulation is possible, but so is cause and effect manipulation(still time manipulation, but more defined).
Awakening could have caused a strength boost, but still doesn't change the fact the seat was designed to hold Needless down, especially a young boy.

Btw, "Schild" is german for "Shield". A hint?
Watch in some weird ass back water nation, Cruz means Plot.
I am sorry, having trouble comprehending what you are trying to say, could you reword it please.
Spoiler for spoiler:
Sorry for my writing. Ahem, I wanted to say that Saten, due to being afraid the shard could have killed Yamada, rushed in order to make sure he wouldn't die, and, upon doing that, he was sucked into Blade memories, because he came into physical contact with Yamada. He probably didn't know this would happen, but it was a clear sign Saten can't afford to let Yamada die, because he is his subject.
Yeah Satan can't let Cruz die for one a reason. Personally I think its all stage show by Arca and Satan, I mean isn't funny how they both decided to fight Blades gang? Arca didn't want to kill Cruz, but still needed to show her loyalty to Simeon, and Satan has helped out Cruz on more then one occasion.
This just brings up my pondering of why Arca left Cruz in the sewers in the beginning of the series. Was he supposed to fight the Testaments off, or meet someone other then Blade.
Had a crazy theory, on one of my nights of insomnia. You know how Blade and Eve were originally meant to become one being, what if the same were for Cruz and Satan, and they were supposed to become one being. Cruz being the mind and powers of God and Satan being the body. Though it immediately gets shot down by the fact no RRR happened when Blade rammed his forehead into them.
Before Arca burned she said "Cruz, the right hand of god and the left hand of god."
to me this could refer to a lot of things like, the hand of mercy "right hand" and the hand of destruction "left hand"but it could also refer to the arch angel Micheal "right hand of god" or the arch angel of healing and protection and the arch angel Gabriel "gods left hand" meaning gods strength. that could mean a lot like for now Cruz has been using the power of right to protect but hasn't used his offensive abilities, which would be his left........ then again these things could have nothing to do with the story and just be wishful thinking. btw all of these nonsense about angels is just from random info I've picked up. I've no back ground in this area.
heh didn't realise Darth SpiderDen already brought up this point.
This just brings up my pondering of why Arca left Cruz in the sewers in the beginning of the series.
Spoiler for spoiler:
Wanna bet something she did that in order to forcefully awaken Yamada's needless status? By forcing him to escape through the sewers he would eventually have a chance encounter with a testament (which ended up happening). I wonder which would have been the result had Blade not come.
