Newtyped, did you know that during an experiment, homophobes had a much larger erection when watching gay porn then people who accepted gays and lesbians.

Turn-A's fugliness and super-robotics make me not wanna watch it.

Yes, I am a huge mecha design fan, and quite frankly id watch GSD over and over again rather than seeing the mess that is Turn-A.

this is my opinion.

If you're basing it off lineart alone, then you are wrong. The mechanical design is very beautiful when in action.

I still can't understand why people have a negative first reaction when they see the Turn A. When I first saw the lineart my reaction was the complete opposite. I say it looks awesome.

How the hell can you know that it's a mess when you haven't seen it? The action is very beautifully animated and the Turn A is a wonderful design.

For the record, my favourite show is Victory. Katejina <3.

Are we talking about the series or the gundams???

Anyway, my favourite gundams would be Freedom and Wing Zero Custom

Oh Katejina...the most psycho girl ever to grace a gundam series. And a hell of a pilot too. Never boring to watch her.

Your opinion fails. As I said before, Turn-A is one ugly biotch of a mobile suit, but the series is a really good series. Shouldnt rule out an entire series just cos the mecha design is a little off.

The term favourite Gundam series doesn't really work for me, since there's 5 I equally like for totally different reasons.

GSD is like School Rumble + Haruhi + Ohran for me. There's not one single episode where I didn't laugh, even when it's not intended to.

Victory made me all emo. I got all depressed in the end, but that's the sign of an engrossing series.

G Gundam made my blood boil on the same level as GaoGaiGar, Daitarn 3 and Nadesico. It made me realise Gundam can produce "quality" romance.

Turn A was well..... a change of pace. A very nice change of pace. I'm a sucker for those Victorian style layouts.

X is like a nice dessert after a great meal. Nothing bad, nothing too outstanding, a smooth ride anime.

A very fitting description. X is like a road trip, but with Gundams. Also has some of the best designs in all of the AU - the Daughtress sensor design is so cool!

I agree, the episode about George and his butler tore my heart into pieces.

(Nadesico is an excellent show by the way. I hold it very high.)

Id say that the Daughtress senors are based on DOM sensors.

I dont doubt the story at all, im sure its great, based on what you guys are saying. But, I watch Gundam mostly for the fight scenes, MS battles and stuff. Drama is only 2nd to me in my book.... of course an overall good story doesnt hurt at all.

If there is a 50-episode Gundam Evolve series that is mostly documentary on MSs and battles more than a story, id rather watch that.

Great looking MSes usually have an MG and even PG gundam counterparts. case in point: the original, the zaku, WZC, strike, zeta, etc... you simply can NOT put the Turn-A in the same breath as those MSes mentioned. I meant the mess = Turn-A designs.

its way off. you fail.

Yes, or the GM Sniper II, but still, who needs a monoeye when you can have a trieye!?

Perhaps it is time to expand your horizon and venture beyond what you usually seek? Who knows, you might even enjoy it :P.

Also, the battle scenes in Turn A rock.

The idea for an MG Turn A has been balled around for quite a while if I'm not mistaken, and if only "great looking MS" gets MG's, instead of popular MS, why do the Gogg, Z'Gok (TWO VERSIONS of it even; Ordinary and Char's) and Acguy have MG's, as well as two different Ball designs?

Simple - they're popular and fun. The Turn A isn't as popular, but it's easily the most fun of them all. Several kits who are more popular and, in my opinion, even better looking than the Turn A lack an MG or PG. Still, I love my HG 1/100 Turn A Gundam that I have in my bookshelf, and it looks just right standing next to Justice .

Phew. Went a bit off topic there, probably shouldn't do that. Sorry everyone. Still, the point I want to convey to you, SNT1, is that perhaps it just wouldn't be so bad to check out Turn A?

Strike Freedom and Destiny more than qualifies for super robotism. Also, have you actually seen a proper super robot show? Good stuff, I assure you.

Super robot shows are fun, but that is not the genre Gundam as a whole is known for. If you like Super robot show watch something like Sousei no Aquarion or Fafner in the Azure (whose character design looks disturbingly like GS character) but almost no one watch Gundam, the show best known to bring about real robot genre, for Super robotism.

Thats the wierdest thing. My Turn-A that I just finished is also standing right next to Justice on my shelf, with the MG Freedom up on its stand on the other side. And yeah, they look great together. I'm starting to appreciate the Turn-A the more I look at it next to more traditional Gundams.

Turn-A and Turn-X arn't super robots. They are just very advanced real robots. The power of love and determination didn't make them stronger, as you would see in more super robot like super-robot shows. And they didn't make the obligatory "entrance pose" like you see in almost all super robot show. (i.e. OmegaZero 's picture)

I guess im just more of a traditional gundam fan who likes the typical gundam faces. Let me say again: I got hooked on gunpla first, then started watching the shows as an effect. For example, to feed the people here with things that they surely wont agree with: 0080 sucks. I watched it because of my NT1 and kampfy, but that story sucks. eww.

so MGs have odd designs, but what about PG?
