Um could this just be a general character discussion thread? I dont think there's a need for multiple discussion threads for each character (even though there's only this one atm)
And judging from the first episode, most of these characters are going to be very closely intertwined, such as Mika and Orga |

Also, I hope they don't do Mika x Kurdelia. He's like eleven or something and that sort of thing seems to be against her whole argument.

It's still much better than Setsuna x Marina. They had like few interaction and suddenly they're married at the end. Even at 2 episodes only, it feels like Mika and Kudelia has more interaction than Setsuna and Marina for the entire 00 series already.

It just occurred to me while posting in the other thread... but aren't Orga and Mika a lot like Sora and Shiru (No Game No Life)?
I mean, NGNL was really over the top, so Sora was fittingly a freaking genius himself... but his premise was being a "normal" human who really understood other people and knew how to twist any situation to a favourable outcome. At the same time, Shirou was the unbeatable genius... as long as it came to the "battlefield". Outside that, she was absolutely lost. This seems a lot like Orga and Mika. Orga knows how to get around in society, and Mika is the savant providing the raw "power" for those plans to work. They also seem to display the same level of absolute, unflinching trust. |

I've seen people state Kurdelia is Jewish, is there any truth to that or is /m/ making things up again?

I wasn't able to find something similar for "Kudelia" but apparently it most common in the Ukraine. In the anime on Gjallarhorn's document on her it's romanised as "Kuderia" but I didn't find any useful info on that spelling. (Kudelia is the romanisation on the official website) Anyone got anything more? |

I'm sure I could write lots of character analysis but here's two short ideas.
Mika = soldier. Orga = captain. Kudelia = commander-in-chief or queen? The first two seem pretty solid (though could argue about exact rank, main thing I want to get at here is the general concept) but kinda vague how Kudelia is going to develop currently. Orga works well as an "executive" (as in executive branch of executive officer) and Mika is a worker. Kudelia doesn't appear to really be a "politician" currently, more of a campaigner. Will she tilt more towards being a legislator / negotiator or more towards overall leader and revolutionary? Second idea is a bit simpler... Mika = in the here and now. Orga = short/medium term and local scale. Kudelia = medium/long term and global scale. I'm glad we finally got to see Orga and Kudelia interact properly in episode 3. They actually have more in common with each other than Mika. I wonder if she will introduce Orga to her contacts and directly involve him with the independence movement or will they stay more as "client" and "hired muscle"? If Orga becomes directly involved then that could drive a wedge between him and the rest of the boys. |

Orga and Kudelia are partners (escort-client). Orga and Mikazuki are leader-follower. Mikazuki and Kudelia don't really have an established relationship yet except through the partnership via Tekkadan and Orga. |

am i the only one here thinks that there are three potential candidates Char type characters?
being McGillis a.k.a. 'Chocolate man' because he is blonde (not sure that's racist ), Gaelio due to having a little sister which common in Char types, & lastly Ein due to his revenge mode, i think a dark haired masked pilot would look cool & made the fangirls squeal too
