This series is ridiculous. It's like Gintama with the dick jokes yet looks like a reverse harem which it isn't because of a seemingly established OTP that- wait who cares, how are they 5th graders? I mean, ah... I guess.... there must be a reason for all of the weirdness. Anyway, kinda funny so I'll keep checking it out. Dick jokes are the best.

Ep 01
This ... now THIS was torture. But for a slightly different reason ... Yui Horie is the VA of the female MC, and she is in fine form. But in THIS storyline? Just ... urgh.

first episode and well...
it was... really weird... then this anime is a "sort of "shota"??? this like someone pointed remember a lot record to randosell the difference is which instead of sibilins we have a really impossible "group" of 3 5 grades schools which looks like young adults(like between 17 and 19 years) and one of then is the "main male mc which the main heroine feels for him, while this looks like a sort of "shoujo the art of the girl don't match a shoujo since normally shoujo girls are drawn more like "plain" and with big and brigh eyes, the main girl looks much more a shounen/seinen with a hot body... well the jokes about the dick, the girl being a sort of stupid and the shota which based on his action toward the girl looks more like a "love rival" for the girl not for the guy(he being jelly about her romance with the guy). and the "romance" well, while the guy really, really no matter how you look don't look even close to a "grade school"(WTF what they are giving to male japaneses kids to they "grow" like that???????? fertilizizer???), but the mind is a mix between grade school and "handsome guy". well if i could bear record to randosell then i can bear this for the sake of comedy, let's see. if this gonna be really worth of it. well to be fair is not like she is also that old, she is a 15 years then a early teen and first year of highschool then they are not all that so high difference of age well... whatever... let's just see what will happen.

It's like they took a girl what was supposed to be in a shoujo anime and put it in Daily lives of Highschool Boys, except that they're 5th grades. Granted, her clutzy, innocent & overthinking personality is pretty far from what I'd expect the usual shoujo MC.
Seeing 3 bishies sliding down on those poles in those shorts with high socks - oh boyz, I was cringing, and laughing at the same time - the fuck did I just watch? Heck, they even named one of the guys Gin, who's voiced by Gintoki's VA. Seems no anime with Tomokazu Sugita is gonna be cringe comedy free Also, his deep voice is like "wtf" when you think that it's a 5th grader voice, who looks like a highschool wearing 5th grade clothes... I don't...I don't even know anymore...this show caught me off guard, but I know one thing though - I'll definitely be watching this :P |

You said it yourself, but I believe it's more comedy than it is romance. And for a comedy, the story has progressed a lot in the first episode imo. I mean, we get an established couple right off the bat, that's pretty awesome tbh. It can only get better from this point on, probably. And for the people who cringe at the humor, well, I'm sure it won't be about genitals all series long and it was mostly this episode. Besides, that's what kids do, be vulgar.

So, Honda Tohru falls in love with a more energetic Miyagawa Atsushi? Also, just how many times did that girl get her boobs grabbed? Most shows that sort of accidental grab would be immediately followed by a slap. A number of shows would even have her slap the boy for touching her breasts while saving her life.

Well, Kaz is definetely a cross-dressing girl. No wonder she is against her possible likely crush dating Kaho. I doubt I gonna watch this though, was so cringy to watch it through the first episode I worry about the coming ones...
