I have been liking him since the very beginning though he used to play the role as a badass..
Now i like him even more.. He was willing to massacre his own clan for the sake of the village.. He must have been in a lot of misery yet he couldn't tell anyone about it.. He should be a hero, the savior of the village but b'coz of those stupid elders, the villagers see him as a traitor, a detestable villain..He had tried to do all he could to keep sasuke safe and played the badass role till the very last second of his life..Making sasuke hate him while he actually loved and cared for his lil bro.. That must be painful ..

And after the revelations, it made me really pissed at sasuke and the third hokage.
ninja are tools .. always were

I think it is unfortuante that Itachi died, but he had planned his death ever since the day he killed his own clan; but if you look back Itachi has left a few things to the future caretakers of Kanoha, esspecially Naruto and Sasuke

Again, I liked it when Itachi seemed to have a will of his own. When he seemed to have something greater behind his actions. When he had a brain. Now, he's useless. Can't stand him because of the sheer level of disappointment I have everytime I think of him.

Itachi is the greatest hero in the Narutoverse. More than anyone, he has allowed reason to prevail. A true hero, who did everything possible to keep up peace. He lost face to the ninja world. He's the most important hero of his era and he's died a silent death and if Sasuke doesn't come to reason, he'll probably destroy what Itachi gave his life for.

May he rest in peace. The saviour of peace, the Jesus of the Narutoverse.

Even so it has to be true. I mean he killed his entire clan. Whom of course now you know, he loved. No one could possibly understand the sorrow he must've felt after that. He had to have planned his death for Sasuke. Plus, Madara hinted at it in the anime in the first place.

I don't think it was meant to be taken in that context. Itachi's ends, no matter what the means were, was to keep and provide peace. Just as Jesus provides peace in Heaven.

I'm sorry but there is no way you can stretch Itachi to make him seem even remotely like a mimicry of Jesus. Dude killed his entire clan, but according to you guys he's a nice guy. Is there even a context where it is okay to kill a person?

Also I'm not sure where you are coming with this Jesus provides peace in heaven thing. Have you read the bible?

EDIT: i just realized I was arguing with a 15 yr old. He/she probably hasnt even read the bible or even know what he's talking about.

I did say no matter what the means were. Oh, and yes, I do/have read the bible all the way through.

The only thing is that you are failing to realize that I only meant what was the happen for the end results. I said nothing about his actions during his life being anything like that of Jesus'.

Oh, and I guess it is okay to kill someone if they are trying to kill you. If you have some way or form inwhich to fight back, I doubt that you WOULD let the person kill you.

You might not know who you're up against. I am referring to this one:
"Christ bore a satisfactory punishment, not for His, but for our sins"

And I guess Sinfully Naomi also knows what I am talking about
Sorry, but I like those comparisons. There are no taboos for an open-minded person. By the way, for your little ****size competition, you're not the only one in the world who read the Bible. I read it aswell.
Are you aware of how you talk to people? That's not how you should behave towards anyone...

No one needs to read the Bible to know how to behave towards others.

Sorry but you have failed to draw parallels between Itachi and Jesus. Actually when pressed to do this you didnt even try and then went on to claim you read the bible which is totally suspect because you didnt demonstrate any level of knowledge of it.

More of reason to get rid of it right?

He let "omfg war=bad" memories lead him to kill his clan. Didn't like him before, don't like him now. I do respect him a whole helluva lot more than Sasuke though.
