Unless you've bought two copies of DoTA 2 and have two Steam Accounts, I don't think that's likely. Well I think some people would be insane enough to do it, but it's a form of cheating so ridiculous that you might as well resort to "simple" maphacking.

Add to that the fact that the delay on the stream is like 3+ minutes. Quite tedious to cheat with that except for ward positions and I hope nobody is dumb enough to do very suspicious counter-warding for wards that have barely half their life left.

So who here has the game? I am up for a few games here and there if you guys want. Steam id atm is InfiniHellspawn.

As an aside, the game takes quite a bit of getting used to initially (especially if you were quite into DotA) but after like 50 games or so, you'll appreciate it as DotA but prettier.

Yeah and I am in , was just wondering if anyone else around here has been as well, especially now that they have gone a bit more public with it all.

LoL =/= Dota 2 or Dota , you can't compare them. There are so differents.

You CAN compare them, but it would be a subjective comparison. MOBA is all about teamwork but made up of many small elements to achieve said teamwork. One may frown upon aggressive gameplay, saying it's better to defend and let people push, while others may differ than passive gameplay makes the game itself more boring.

I have yet to play DotA 2 but I am sure it is far better than 1 and in time will be #1 in its genre. I think we still got 7 months till its official release though...

I think you guys might be mad that I have had a dota 2 beta key for months and and used it a total of two times .

Though that will be changing soon, damn Skyrim.

It's pretty much dota 1 but a lot smoother. Easier to last hit and cast several spells. Does take some getting used to though.

It's not really a lawsuit. They're just filing a notice that they don't want Valve to own the name DotA.

Whether or not Blizzard owns DotA depends on how the courts rule on the WC3 EULA. Technically anything made with the WC3 editor does belong to Blizzard but most people consider them to be so out of the picture since they haven't helped the development of it at all.

I did remember a notice of something like that when I used the map editor. It would be strange, and might even lower the popularity if they changed the name.

Psyched for this, most of them look so much better.

Though is it just me or does Roshan look a lot smaller now?

I have a key but my old computer is too laggy... I love DoTa but definitely hesitant to shell out the cash for a comp just to play this... Does anyone know what the cheapest I'm looking at to run this game?

From what I've played (a few uber laggy games) it's awesome.
