Favorite Wham Moment in anime

Does anyone here know of an event in a anime that was completely unexpected and out of the blue? An event that not only surprised you but completely leave you speechless and in a state of shock? It doesn't matter if it was character death or any other significant event, post your favorite wham moment that completely blew out of the water.

Shocking events:

1. Krillin's death at the hands of Frieza in the Frieza arc.
   
2. Flay Allister, who was pretty much got better after the war was killed off near the last episode. Pretty much any Gundam show has this.
   
3. Euphemia being Geassed into killing the Japanese by accident.

These are pretty much events I could think of the top of my head but what events shocked you and left you speechless? Again, it may not be character deaths.

CLANNAD After Story:

While I saw it coming, Nagisa's death made me cry. Partially because I really liked the main characters and so I didn't want to see them sad, but also because of the way the scene was animated, with the colors gradually fading out.

Nono is Buster Machine No. 7, the most powerful Buster Machine. This basically turns everything we know on its head, and we get an awesome fight scene featuring Nono set to the Gunbuster March.

Kamina dies, really shocking since I thought he would be the show's hero and it's kind of cruel in how the show teases the viewer and the other characters into thinking he might actually live when he does the Giga Drill Breaker with Simon.

Kamina's death in episode 8. I totally didn't see it coming. Same for Nia's death in the final episode. In retrospect I should have seen them coming, but I just didn't.

Euphie being Geassed and subsequently killed was a big shock. I had never imagined the results of Lelouche's Geass going out of control before then.

Spoiler for Code Geass R2:

Lelouche's decision to sacrifice himself at the end shocked me. I just didn't expect that ending, but I liked it.

IIRC, most of everything that happened during School Day's latter half made me shat enough bricks to build a medium-sized medieval fortress. Good times, those were.

Well it was also given the alternate title of 'The Last Love Song on this Little Planet.' That says a lot.

PS. Real ending/version was in the manga. Gonzo's version of removing the sex, the sex jokes and adding more emo kinda tarnished the series a bit.

Shuji is in the isolated world alone but he is able to wish Chise into it somehow. Thus despite the world ending, they end up finally being able to fall in love.

As for incidents that were legitimately surprising to me and left me in shock - only one.

FMA Episode 25 - Still hurts. Goes to show what an impact that certain character had. While that episode did gradually give that feeling, nothing in episodes past suggested that was going to happen in that particular episode. I still consider that to be the one and only time I've truly been surprised during my time in watching anime.

I didn't really see it coming and I literally had to stop watching the show for a few days for that to sink in. I just couldn't believe that they had done that and the one after that...

So bloody sad.

I'll gauge this off my reaction to playing the game first but when Saber accepted her fate and bided farewell to Shirou I was speechless.

I just thought that some how it was all going to work out and they'd lived together happily ever after and the anime gave the same feeling of surprise.

My gut had thoroughly been punched and I recall being bitter for the rest of my playthroughs of Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel because there was no "happy end" for Saber and Shirou.

That last scene where Yuuko was showing her scars day in and day out, I don't even have words to describe it.
I actually didn't realize that I was holding my breathe the whole scene until I started feeling slightly dizzy. How frightening.

In Dragon ball Z, Piccolo's noble self-sacrifice for Gohan really not only surprised but also shocked me. I was speechless. It touched my heart so much I cried for him.

The death of Roy Fokker.

What made this a very effective "Wham" moment is that even if you've known the spoiler of his death ahead of time, the way Macross handled the moment (by not informing the viewer that Fokker took some serious battle damage until the crucial moment) resulted in the incident coming out of nowhere.

definitely Fate/Stay night as one of the biggest wham moments ever.

my jaw dropped during the whole entire scene where Rolo was overusing his geass to protect Lelouch and it took me a few minutes to realized what just happened then I bawled my eyes out for an hour then I was sad the rest of the day and I never cried or felt sad that long for a fictional character either.
