I get you on the point you want Daichi to act like a normal human being but i think is one of those people who go with the flow more than anything.

I really like how Daichi took care of the situation there, he is going to be fun to see.

Yeah, it's kinda refreshing in a way to have a mecha protagonist who gives zero fucks for once in a while . They usually are waaay more moody.

Eh, I believe we were already shown on Episode 1's flashback that Daichi doesn't really think like a "normal human being" - he did not question Teppei's superhuman behaviors (especially being able to form rainbow rings). I don't see why that wouldn't carry forward to the present, especially now that he has reunited with his not-so-human friends.

The other aspects of the show got a lot more confusing though, since we still do not know what the deal is with the Uranus attackers and the obviously suspicious people involved with them. On one hand it seems like some sort of controlled environment and that it isn't really some kind of invasion, yet on the other hand there is actual conflict to be had.

I have respect for a guy willing to blow things up in order to show his friends his mad boomerang skills ! Very much a guy who seems to act on his instincts and just go with them. Be it studying what he finds more interesting when he was living with relatives or his original meeting with Hana and Teppei.

Makes sense also if you think that this energy powering up the Livlaster is "libido". So basically instinctual, sexual energy. Probably a slightly more serious version of Spiral Energy from TTGL. So who better than a guy who'll do anything just so that he can get to... y'know... "show his boomerang" to a girl .

(seriously, the tagline made me rofl: "When I opened the door called truth, my childhood ended. It was a summer I could never forget." - is he talking about giant robots or sex ? Also, no one talking about Puck, the wonderful computer that looks like the unholy spawn of GladOS and a dating expert ?)

Puck is the residential ERO-bot of the series. The amount of effort put into persuading his master/owner to bag his secretary.

"My predictions are 100% correct." He's like a perverted HAL 9000. They could make a whole rom-com dedicated just to the wacky hijinks of a boy and his supercomputer A.I. that gives him advice on how to bang girls !

EDIT: also, what's with the Shakespeare references? They talked about a Macbeth plan. And Puck is the scoundrel imp from A Midsummer Night's Dream. In fact, it's especially funny that he tried to get the guy with his secretary because in the Dream, Puck is the one who is given a magic potion by Oberon and uses it to make people fall in love. But he pairs the couples in the wrong way, which prompts all sorts of rom-com hijinks (yeah, this stuff is as old as the Bard, and even more).

So... why do they let Pedoglasses jeopardize the whole thing? If those kids are all that stands between us and the end of the world, I'm pretty sure it'd be worth it to kill that guy just for their peace of mind.

Humans are not rational, bureaucrats even more so. The guy probably thinks of the two kids as his pets, and acts like he enjoys the powertrip. He is all too realistic as a person bad at his job.

Oh, I can see why he's an asshole. What I don't see is why no one around him decided he was a lot more expandable than the kids.(Or, you know, killed him for no other reason than they hate his guts.)

Well I guess no one decided they wanted to risk losing their jobs in killing that guy . How he got there seems to be completely political. That other faction that isn't behind this interceptor group and probably used their position to give this ass enough authority to cause so much trouble.

As long as his actions can be disguised under 'for security purposes' he can probably get away with just about anything and they can't really do much about him. Other than lodge complaints that probably will never be acted on.

Personally I'd be all for someone "accidentally" strapping him to the next rocket they send up....

Exactly. Plenty of freaky shit happening. Including teleportation. It's no one's fault if he ends up under the robot when it takes off. A happ... I mean, regrettable accident.

Untrue if you consider how much energy is required to launch even a monkey into space, much less a shuttle, and much much less a giant mecha.

While the science of trying to get a robot to gattai without spectacular fail is beyond our comprehension...

It is realistically better to spend the minimum energy to send the command center into space, and have it connect to an orbital factory that builds these things.

Though it is also realistically better to have the complete robot, and pilot in space as well in this case, but hey, we can't have a boy meets robot in this case!

The plot's a bit rushed so far. I'm still intrigued, and the mech look damn cool, but they need to slow it down a few notches.

The series does seem promising. The music is good and the characters are good.

Not sure what's going on with the story that much but still seems really interesting.
