Fate @ 480, looks like vote counts are going up. Next round is a total bore though as well, lots of mid-tier but nobody other than Kyaptein looks top tier. Main thing that catches my eye is three of Sora no Woto. Illya and Rider should get a free pass into the main tourney here.(IDK if I missed anyone)

Oh well, warm up for the epicness of round 15 I guess. (Yui-Shana-Haruhi-Yuri, can I has round 12 again pls)

Wat Seishi said. Strong showings are what give characters an early exit.

Was about an equal showing compared to Yuki, either way. Though tbh, Yuki did a lot worse than what I expected from her.

And that, they say is Fate. Fumino fared better than expected, although Fate is still too good to make it close enough. Nanoha and Fate finishing first at their groups. Great showing by Nanoha faction. Nine of twelve in predictions, completely overlooked Shizuku, and missed on Kondou Mikoto and Anri. But good call on Fumino getting second.

5-5-0 in picks. Yellow < Red so says the moefags. This time, I don't agree. :< Oh well, second chance. Blue, Red and Green are in, while regarding Dark Green, Purple and Yellow, I'm confident the rest of the colors will follow suite soon. Poor Namiko-san...

Moving on to Group Fourteen. Mihoko vs Yamada. I have Mihoko winning, but it will be close. Still, nice segueway to the much-anticipated Group Fifteen, a.k.a. Group of Death II.

I was not expecting Anri or the Omamori Himari group to do so well. I must applaud them, as well as Kondou Mikoto.

I can tell this will again be one of those hard groups for me today. So many decent 2nd tiers, very few aces backed with elite series mojo. I don't see Ilya winning this and I might even venture she may end up around 5th.

Fate/Stay Night does not do well in Saimoe. Do remember that they only got Tohsaka in QF after she won the weakest block in 2006. Then the rest didn't make it farther than 2nd round.

Really? Saimoe 2009 Prelims Top 10
1) Haramura Nodoka (Top8)
2) Hirasawa Yui (2nd place)
3) Aisaka Taiga (Champ)
4) Kataoka Yuuki (Top8)
5) Katsura Hinagiku (Round 3 vs Yui)
6) Takei Hisa (Round 2 vs Louise (t8))

Only Mio can be considered to have an inappropriately early exit. Rest of them lost to at least T16 members and half of them were in the group finals.

The trends change by year. 2009 was very weird for veterans who were used to the assassinations of 2006 and 2007.

Next round is a total bore though as well, lots of mid-tier but nobody other than Kyaptein looks top tier. Main thing that catches my eye is three of Sora no Woto. Nanoha and Fate finishing first at their groups. Great showing by Nanoha faction. Nine of twelve in predictions, completely overlooked Shizuku, and missed on Kondou Mikoto and Anri. But good call on Fumino getting second. 5-5-0 in picks. Yellow < Red so says the moefags. This time, I don't agree. :< Oh well, second chance. Blue, Red and Green are in, while regarding Dark Green, Purple and Yellow, I'm confident the rest of the colors will follow suite soon. Poor Namiko-san... Moving on to Group Fourteen. Mihoko vs Yamada. I have Mihoko winning, but it will be close. Still, nice segueway to the much-anticipated Group Fifteen, a.k.a. Group of Death II. __________________
