I've always adored Key's works, and was quite annoyed by how it always get destroyed by Toei...and the movie out there is a pain to even start watching. (I only saw the promo and I know it's no good)
Back on topic:
I've been playing the translated version of the game, and its in Chinese. Unfortunately, the Kotomi route is not yet translated so if anyone can give me a insight of what happened there?

Can someone break down what the heck this is about? People are foaming at the mouth for this anime so they must know something about it already (based on a game i think?). I read the ann description but its kinda confusing.

Many years ago Kotomi's parents were invited to give a lecture on their latest research, however their plane was involved in an accident and they were going down. Just before they left Kotomi was angry at them for not being able to spend Christmas together, her parents tried to calm her down by promising to give her a present. The last thing that Kotomi's father wrote was "If you found this suit case, please take it to my daughter" and signed it. Kotomi's guardian (her parent's assistant) explained that from the traces of sand found inside the suitcase the has been through places like Africa, and that the various translated versions of Kotomi's father's message into different language showed that the case was passed on from person to person in different countries and eventual made its way back in the hands of Kotomi.

Really looking forward to this show. Really love KyoAni's work, and they did a great job with both Kanon and Air.

I have a few questions, most of which are pretty basic. I'm not much for asking about story/character stuff cause I like to be surprised.

1. What channel is it going to be running on?
2. What time is it going to be showing?
3. How many episodes is it expected to run?
4. Which fansub groups are currently planning to translate it?

To answer question 1 and 2:

• TBS will be airing the premiere on 5th October at 2:25am (2:01am for 2nd ep, and subsequent eps will be at 1:55am).
• Broadcast on MBS will begin on the 14th of October at 1:55am.
• Broadcast on CBC will begin on the 18th of October at 3:20am (2nd and subsequent eps at 2:50am).
• Broadcast on BS-i will begin on the 26th of October at 1am.

3. Currently the number of episodes is unknown.

4. According to (the sketchy) AndrewLB Fansub Wiki, the following groups have shown an intent to sub Clannad:

• a.f.k., Eclipse, Fallingsnow, Sprocket Hole Subs, idPRO

I'm still playing as well I would have to say though Komoti's story I found better than Kyou's and for the most part Tomoyo's

Tomoyo is very popular, but it's a bit long.
Kotomi's story is very well edited. The briefcase scene, especially.
Oh...if I remember KEY had this recommended playthrough order which allows us to get the most story and scenes out of CLANNAD:

Sagara Misae --> Sakagami Tomoyo --> Miyazawa Yukine --> Fujibayashi Ryou --> Fujibayashi Kyou--> Hiiragi Kappei --> Sunohara Mei --> Ichinose Kotomi --> Ibuki Fuko --> Koumura Toshio --> Furukawa Nagisa

The last three (Fuko -> Toshio -> Nagisa) is very important, if you don't follow this order you will miss a few scenes in both the main story and the after story.
Misae and Tomoyo are very close friends, and it'll be better understood if you play the Misae route before Tomoyo route.
Ryou route should be played before the Kyou route, ad Kyou is just the continuaton of the Ryou route.
Kotomi route is actually very independent of other routes, but it'll be better played Nagisa route.

Spoiler for Tips on where to save in order to save time::

Misae and Tomoyo route can be done simultaneously. Save on the 21th of Apirl--enter Misae's room to enter Misae's route and otherwise enter Tomoyo route.
Yukine and Mei route can be done simultaneously. Save on the 20th of Apirl--choose to help to enter Mei route, otherwise Yukine route
Ryou, Kyou and Kappei routes can be done simultaneously. Save on the 20th of Apirl--choose help to enter Kappei route. Otherwise, save on the 28th of Apirl--choose short hair for Ryou and long hair for Kyou.
Toshio and Nagisa route can be done simultaneously. Save on the 30th of Apirl--choose 'pass ball to me' to enter Nagisa route, otherwise enter Toshio route.

Unlike Kanon, Clannad has a lighter touch to it. It does not focus too much on boy-girl love(although in some character's route it does), but more on the 'family love' and the sweetness of friendship, which is clearly seen in the Nagisa route and After Story. Also Clannad has a very clean cut in touching moments. They make you cry slightly, but not like Air and Kanon where you'd cry to exhaustion. Also the humors in Clannad is pretty good. I have a count of spitting tea on my monitor for at least four times due to laughter.
Touching moments does not necessary occur between the main character and the girls. You(the main character) actually got the most touching non-boy-girl moments. Listen to the BGM 'to the same heights' to get a better idea of it.

Can anyone lead me to a tutorial on how to transfer the voices from the PS2 version to the PC version?

Preferably English if possible, though if it's not too long and complicated, Japanese is fine.

The song is more or less Nagisa's theme. It basically hints at the core elements of the story.
