Are any of those actually your desktop? Or are they just wallpapers. Must be one big screen if they are your desktop though!

1600x - 1000x does seem like you would need a wide-screen computer in order to have it, but its probably downsized in my way of thinking.. (and may look fuzzy as a background in order to fit the size requirement for your screen)

1600x1000 isn't a standard resolution, but it is an 8:5 aspect ratio (obviously). The closest standard resolution to that image size would be 1680x1050, and yes, it's widescreen.

Edit: They could also be using 1600x1200 and have 100px of black bars above and below, if their monitor is 4:3.
