Angel Beats! - Episode 11 Discussion / Poll

If anyone cares to read my prediction, go on. It's something I am probably right about though. This episode was great too.

This episode made it became clear that, that world is not exactly a world where people would find their inner peace to pass on.

I believed that each character infact didn't died. I'm going to take a big guess: Hinata got hit by a car/truck w/e it was, but is probably still in a coma state. Otanashi passed out before the rescue came. So in the end I'm just saying each character must've not died.

Following my predictions, each character is possibly hooked into a digital world to make up the time they lost while in their coma state of some sort. The reason why I said digital world, is because of a couple thing:

1) You cannot die. Which explains miraculous recoveries.
2) Everything seems to be affect by computers.

Tachibana's abilities are made with the Angel Player software. How that actually gives supernatural abilities, is strange. NPC's turning into shadows, it had a digital effect rather than some ominous transformation.


Okay, but to wrap this up quickly: While the characters are in a coma, they need to find their inner peace to wake up quickly. If their bodies takes too long to wake up from, those bodies probably cannot handle the strain anymore. The system then copies the character using the shadows and turns them into NPCs, while in reality those people that couldn't survive longer gets discarded. It has to be some form of medical treatment.

I agree his dead....no one can survive that anyway...it's like having blood lost inside ur body

Plus, most dead people have there eyes open when the die. I never saw an unconcious person with there eyes kept open.

yup yup.....the only thing is that after finding peace they be rebirth....having a new life or time rewinding!

Wow... very interesting. The developments were very unexpected. I love guessing culprits. Poor Takamatsu though...

... I nearly cried when they showed Yui and Iwasawa's guitars. I'm glad Hinata mentioned her, and also I liked the Noda lookin' at Yuri's pic thing. XD

We haven't seen Chaa in a long time... I dunno though. I'm very curious. Argh damn cliff hanger.

... I pray the ending is a good one and we see them moving on in the next world XD

In other words there's one more person who thinks himself as a God. And he is our lovely Shinji(Naoi)-kun's partner Kaworu-kun.

This ep was so fast-paced. I can't really say I liked it. There were a lot of unnecessary things, unanswered questions, etc. I'm not satisfitied with it. But Yuri was awesome and I liked how Otonashi caressed Kanade-chan.

Placing Yui and Iwasawa's guitars together was a nice touch. Along with Noda and his pic of Yuri... and Shiina's expression with her puppies. In fact the ending sequence was well put together. It showed how the simplest things can bring joy and peace to individuals.

Any predictions on why Yuri's name isn't Yuri? She admits that it's just a nickname. Does "yurippe" have a certain meaning in Japanese?

I'm pretty sure (but don't hold this as the 100% truth, as I haven't read it) that in the light novel, Yuri is given "Yurippe" as a nickname.
