I rewatched the OP. I saw young Nao, Sora, and Haru happily walking on the bridge, the girls holding hands. I saw a young Nao taking down a young Haru, both of them partially disrobed. I also saw naked young Sora and Haru embracing. And there was floating, some flying.

Further in, I saw Sora spinning in the chair, which was a nice shot by the way with the camera fixed on her. I DIDN'T see her masturbating, but it doesn't really matter. I saw her REMEMBERING (my opinion) the kiss in the infirmary. Again, I don't think orgasm or not matters. In any case, she was certainly thinking of it fondly, no doubt about that.

The ED seems to show a peeping young Sora catching Nao in the act.

So, I conclude that they were once all good friends and that a physical love triangle developed. That certainly ups the current tension level.

I await further developments.

Wow, instant harem on the first day It's too early to say this, but everyone save for Sora and Nao feels unnecessary.

Initially I didn't even bat an eye at YnS. Got really bored today and took a gander, and found myself captivated by the foreshadows and the gentle atmosphere blanketing a serious plot. Also Sora is gorgeous and reminds me a lot of Al-Azif for some reason.

Well solitude here is misleading if one thinks it's the strict sense of being "alone." Assuming it's from Sora's POV, she obviously means the solitude of both of them "together". It's easy enough to see that Sora has a desire to have Haru all for herself, and considering she's clingy as hell, it's not surprising that being dependent on each other for so many years after their parents died that she would find her attachment to him to be something more than being brother and sister.

That said, she's probably completely emotionally dependent on Haru, and given her jealousy she probably doesn't want to share him with anyone.

Do I sense Yandere in the making?

In the first scene in the forest everything is purple and Sora and Haru fly up off the ground. In the second scene in the forest Sora struggles to stand up, alone and glowing purple. The forest appears to be burning and all the leaves are gone.

Well, as we know from Sora's flashback and the discussion with Nao's mom, they have been in this town before as children. When she introduces herself to him at school, she clearly expected him to remember her, so we know she's at least met him before.

Dunno, not being a native speaker (rather a beginner), whenever I hear "iku", first thing that comes into mind is the sexual use, unless put into context from the sentence. Probably because I watch way too many weird j-movies (since they are easier to understand, among other things)

EDIT: I forgot to mention the fact that it was night, and sora begun undressing in front of Haru's futon ... and she had that look So I share the opinion that only an anime character could be refering to school

Neither the anime, nor the game's site list year of birth so ...

Motoka and Yahiro should be 18-25, since one is in college, and the other is an old friend and working full time ... certainly adults, since they were both shown drinking on TV (which I think is illegal to be depicted with minors).

For the rest, I assume high school, some are shown in the same class, and others are childhood friends. However unrealistic it might be:

• Sora, Akira, and Kozue for examle look more like 12-15, rather than 16-18.
• Haru also looks too young, but it might just be bishounen/feminine design.
• Nao, and Kazuha on the other hand, look too developed for asian girls of that age.

Also it is strange to have a high school in the first place in a village without even a super-market, I guess japanese put education above comercialism

As for iku, it is the normal word for "to go." Ikimashou means "let's go." "Iku" is also the word for "to cum" ("to go") and you hear people say "iku" as "I'm cumming" in adult videos. But what Sora says is: "Ikasete.... Ikitai." "Have (or make) me go.... I want to go." I think the "have me go" means make the arrangements, make it possible for me to go to school. Earlier in the show, when he said she should make a uniform just in case she wants to go to school, she said: "Ikitaku naranai." "I won't (come to) want to go."

I am the furthest thing from fluent in Japanese, so maybe someone else has a better idea, but all that makes me think that the surface meaning would be about school. The emotions and the disrobing tell a different story, but I think the idea of cumming is just a hint, rather than a surface statement. Maybe we will learn better next week.
