Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari is getting a TV anime adaptation to air on NTV. The studio will be Liden Films.
Yoshihide Ibata will be the director.

Plot Summary:

Souta Tawara is a web designer working in Tokyo. When he visits his family's Udon place in his hometown Kagawa Prefecture, he discovers a young boy. Upon confronting the boy, Souta soon learns his secret and decides to quit his job in order to take care of the boy, Poko. The daily adventures of the two slowly enfold as Poco energetically navigates his way through Kagawa, the "Udon Kingdom," along with Souta.

I think there's a lot of Umino Chika in the artstyle, too.

I've heard good things about this one, so I'm definitely intrigued. I don't think there are any translations out there, unfortunately.

This is a great SOL work and I am very excited that this is getting animated.
It's definitely less funnier than Barakamon but more d'aWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwww.

I spent a little time in Kagawa last year. It's the smallest prefecture in Japan, and quite a nice place - it doesn't blow you out of the water the way Kyoto or Kanazawa do, but it has a very pleasant and laid-back quality to it. And yes, the udon was excellent.

Main characters are voiced by Yuichi Nakamura and Shiho Kokido (Miki Ishimoto in Sekkou Boys).

(At least this time he can't harrass his young co-star about how much it pays to be a child actor. <- Amaama to inazuma cast video joke, before anyone takes it seriously)

Nakamura Yuuichi is from Kagawa, so he's perfect for the role

I am so happy just with the PV - I think I can be confident (is it too soon) this adaptation won't disappoint me - I just love this series so much thank you god
