Assuming that Chapter 4 was released at the date that was stated in Chapter 3 (Chapter 3 stated that the next issue, if I read it correctly, would be out at July 27 while Chapter 4 stated the next chapter to be out at September 27), then the month with no Yuutosei had already passed (which was August).

If there was a new one (as in, another month of no Yuutosei), then I know nothing about it since I haven't read chapter 5.

I think this chapter underlines very well why this manga is the perfect complement for the Rettousei line: It fills in the blanks where the Rettousei storytelling simply doesn't have the time to explain the motivations from all sides.

I think each character has his/her own charm in this series.

The pacing was messy, to be honest. Less tight than the main series at least.

But it did clarify Honoka's motivations. And ohmigosh that Morisaki guy is even more of an ass here. If we go by the "series - main character's perspective" theory, then Miyuki really doesn't like the guy.

The Yuutosei spin-off's art seems to be kind of slipping. You can barely even tell which character is which in some of the panels. The Rettousei version continues to be awesome all around though.

Oh, and Morisaki..... Was bad enough in the main series without getting the extra bits with that sycophantic arrogant asshole. Really the character has 0 redeeming qualities and it just makes you cringe when you read his lines.

Miyuki's monologue about them beeing blindly arrogant and no malice. How long will that remain as the story progress I wonder?
Even if the art isn't as good as the main series, still like Mayumi's especially in the panel where he called Tastuya in first name basis...
It's also funny that Miyuki is somewhat threatened, jealous or whatever it can be called (our perspective) about the two getting close...

Blind arrogance is almost worse. Self-righteousness is one of the most irritating personality quirks that a person can possibly have, and its usually paired with a lack of self-awareness or introspection. Which is why its hilariously funny to see Morisaki get dumped on in the 9 schools arc.

But with 9 schools and after, will they still harbor that form of arrogance and not full ill intent considering what happened in 9 school arc?
Since this series is on the perspective of Miyuki, the bloom side then we'll see how they really think of the whole situation...

Is it just me that sees something different in the manga ? I feel as if I haven't read any chapters even though I know I have read at least 3 chapters. The whole story line up is different.

Spoiler for chapter 5: Namely the motivations from the girls' side: Miyuki, Honoka and Shizuku. It further clarifies that Honoka tried to intercede in the fight trying to stop another bloom from attacking the weeds, and that she did NOT try to fight on the bloom's side. That makes a lot more sense and is consistent with her attempt to get closer to both Shibas, and it also gives one more reason why Miyuki very quickly warmed up to her. As for the rest - Morisaki is a douche, Erika is funny, and Mayumi is a total hoot ^_^ ... you'll see soon, I hope!
