Ironically, it's harder to ship anyone in Arpeggio aside from Takao and Gunzou, though if Yamato throws in her lot, which means that Takao is seriously outgunned.

Kantai however... There's a lot of shipping to be had, especially among the sister ship pairs.

Yes. From what I can remember, Ars Nova never mentioned that so far, which reduced the stakes in "401 vs Takao" battle due to the lack of (informed) sacrifice Gunzou had to make to beat Takao (throwing some of those very-limited corrosive torpedoes just for decoys).

Iona will need that stockpile of torpedoes to beat 2 battleships without aid.

Yeah. I really want to see how the anime will come up with their own strategy without involving a certain help. Who knows? Maybe that's exactly why they never mentioned Iona's limited corrosive torpedoes in the first place?

May I direct you to the game thread, so as to avoiding diluting the Arpeggio thread further? As much as I like shipping ships, there's a time and place for things like this, and I don't want to cross the T of the mods by drifting off tangent, and I don't want to see any post torpedoed and prematurely sunk, if you get my drift.

It's not hard to speculate what's going to happen. This is their last fight anyway before restocking, and technically they just need 1 torpedo to sink the "combined" battleships. All the tensions of this fight will be there i'm sure.

That's called the Voyager Syndrome. At the start of the show it was counted at 27 with no hope of resupply.

Over the next 7 seasons, over a thousand torpedoes were fired.

Nope, but Kancolle also features IJN ships as cute girls, so its easy to link them together. And the guy who did the endcard for the last episode for example also did the art for the Kongou sisters in KanColle.

And someone posted this before, but it bears reposting just for comparison's sake: KanColle's Takao with Arpeggio's Takao. The former isn't as popular as her sister Atago though...

Spoiler for Episode 4:

The fourth episode revolves around two ships named Kirishima and Haruna. The I-401 crew has to fight against them and there's lot of strategy and cool techniques. The thing that gets a little darker is when Kirishima sacrifies herself to save Haruna's life, it was touching but it didn't get me into tears. At least Haruna remains alive and although I'm not much of a fan of her appearance, I will get used to it later. The animation is steady but I can say it was good, although I would've preferred the characters to be animated in hand-drawn style. If there's one thing I love the show, it's the music that was awesome and worth listening when the soundtrack will be released. The story's pacing is a bit rushed, but I wasn't bothered much. Let's see how the story can go when Haruna is into the picture once more.
