Crunchyroll to Simulcast "PERSONA5 the Animation -THE DAY BREAKERS-"

oday Crunchyroll revealed plans to stream PERSONA5 the Animation -THE DAY BREAKERS-, the tie-in prologue anime produced by A-1 Pictures. The launch time is set for September 3 at 5:00am Pacific Time.



PERSONA5 the Animation -THE DAY BREAKERS- will be available to Crunchyroll members in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

Despite the fact that once again I'll be unable to (legally) watch a show this is pretty sweet news.

Believe it or not, I think I have some moral issues after seeing Daybreakers.

Spoiler:

I get their targets are usually bad people, but somehow I feel that being able to change the hearts of others tends to be a very disturbing power since they can effectively force it onto someone else. I get that the good guys at least scope their targets out, but it feels wrong that the heroes are the ones proactively altering people like that when I expect them to be the sort to reverse it being done on someone else due to the bad guys.

Normally Persona is about facing oneself to accept all parts of them, while in this case he didn't so much accept that he was a bad person and choose to control himself, but instead had a part of him stolen to make him conform. It's just such a strong contrast to P3 and P4.

Also... why did they tell their target the name of the person who sent in the message? If not for the mindwipe at the end, or at least I think a mindwipe, then he would have been screwed later on.

I see where your coming from but I feel like, as with previous Persona games, there'll be some supernatural entity that's setting up all the events in the game.

Maybe they'll even go so far as pointing out just how wrong what the main characters are doing is and redeeming them in the process.

Notice that we have (once again) a student detective in the mix. They may use that character to put that point across. I also have a feeling that the Fox guy may be a bit shady but maybe that's just me
