A quick rundown:

Series confirmed to begin airing in October, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks and months.

New OP titled "Boys be Smile" composed by Jun Maeda and sung by MANYO (arcane), a newcomer from Nico Nico Douga. (Could the title imply it's a vocal cover of Boys Don't Cry?)

New ED titled "Kimi to no nakushi mono" composed by Shinji Orito and sung by Kitazawa Ayaka, who sung Bokura no Tabi in the Key arrangement album 'circle of fifth'.

Mio's original seiyuu from the VN is returning to her role for Refrain.

And the staff will be the same as S1 but with the addition of chikayoshi sakurai (episode director of little busters. He did episode 1,14 and 26.)

Well, I feel like a change in singers is welcome for me.
They have good voices too, so I hope the OP and ED will turn out to be good.

Considering it's Maeda who's composing Boys Be Smile, I'm on the side of believing it to be a vocal cover of BOYS DON'T CRY.
That highly elevates my expectations, since I really love Kyousuke's theme.

I'll just wait and see for the ending, not really expecting much, I'm not really an ending person..
Well, I trust Maeda and Orito for the composition... Though I'll probably end up getting the songs either way.

I hope they'll have better placement for the BGM for Refrain, first season was painful at times...

According to this info, Susuyo is the singer. And she was who sung the 10th song of the compilation.

Average voice. Or just maybe need to listen a bit more of her.

He does good work

I loved all his stuff in past KEY works. I agree, they could take a page from kyo-ani and try at least remixing the themes a bit too and not play certain character's themes when they are not on screen. But I do like how JC staff changed up the endings when they were appropriate unlike Kyo-ani. Hearing Torch at the end of some episodes were like 0_o you killed everything!

things are gonna be interesting this fall, i guess once they end the railgun S series J.C staff would focus on little busters and prepare for Index III

Such an awesome trailer, though somehow I don't really like Boys Be Smile right now...
Is it that I'm waiting to see the opening for the anime before deciding whenever I like it or not...? Oh well.

I've never cried by watching anime that supposedly sad. Clannad, Angel Beats, and Anohana didn't make me cry.

But, this one is may be different because I don't feel like I'm just a spectator while watching Little Busters.

So.. uh.. no beach episode, I guess?

PV seems to confirm at least one of the things anime watchers suspected. Not sure I like the song (op?) playing in the second half, but hearing the one from the end of Haruka's arc again makes me want to play through the VN before the new season comes out. I still have it on my home PC from when I went through Komari's route, but I'm pretty sure I had to stop at the time because of the sugar overload.

Note that my Japanese isn't fluent or anything, so the 2nd song's translation (Boys be Smile) might be wrong/off/whatever. If you happen to know Japanese and spots any errors, do poke me about it, and I'll add a note or something in the video.

And yeah, maybe people will like the new song better if they know what it's about?
