I see it as a good sign. If Sheryl doesn't want death, the director can't give her death. That would be cruel and serves no purpose.

Yeah. It's actually a very good sign. If they are milking all the angst for what it's worth, it means they probably won't go through with it. Otherwise it'd be in REALLY bad taste.

I think you're forgetting your early K-drama vibe...

There is that huh? But then again, this is ultimately a venerable Japanese anime franchise that's not know for tragic/nihilistic endings. So it's unlikely they'll pull a true K-drama tear jerker ending on us.

I wouldn't bet on it.
Although, it sure would put a wrench through my enjoyment, somewhat.

Title: Business Cards.

I wonder how long the custom of exchanging business cards will last.

On Galaxy, it has already disappeared.

Everyone has implants so there is no need for it.

Since I'm natural I can't learn people's names directly from their minds.

I've said "Nice to meet you" to people I had already met before many times.

On Frontier though, exchanging business cards is still customary.

You know, it actually feels quite good.

It brings a sense of relief.

Things placed into your hand from someone else's are actually quite warm .

Picture Captions: Speaking of which, I was recently given a business card by some suspicious grizzly haired guy proclaiming himself to be a music producer...

-was like this.

How foolish.

Once he realized I was Sheryl Nome, he dropped the card and ran away with his tail between his legs.

Title: Rainbows!

Incredible!

It seems that rainbows on Frontier have eight colors!?

On Galaxy, for anniversaries or festivals they use holograms so it normally has seven colors...

The pen is mightier than the sword, after all.

Hmm?
That's not right?
Reality is purer than a novel?

Anyways,
natural spontaneity is much greater than human imagination.

Picture Captions: Actually this talk about rainbows is what I heard from the suspicious self-styled music producer (Bleached White Hair) that I spoke about before. At first, I had no idea what he was talking about.
Why, "rainbows" are always

-like this, is what he said.

It seems there is a useless tradition in the music industry.

Quite lame.

Well then, I should go to work then.

Title: Kapuera

Have you ever done kapuera?

It's quite enjoyable.

It feels as if I am mastering something that a woman needs. (Hime learned this the hard way it seems)

Loosening up when it is needed,
tensing up when it is required.

Afterwards, your fighting spirit is awakened.

Uffufu, right now, I'm invincible.

Come at me however you want.

Title: Cows

Huge mail order success!

I heard from a gourmet idiot (in a good way) staff member that "KachiKochi cows are macho types" and you sprinkle it over rice. (OK I have absolutely no idea what the captioned part meant...)

It's awesomely good!

This is bad, I've already ordered another dozen!

...though some arrogant idiot (in a bad way) wrote a blog and caused the next shipment to be scheduled for January of 2060!!

Really, I can't help it anymore.

Are they trying to starve Sheryl Nome to death?

Sheryl's so cute. Her outfit for Kapuera is hawt!

I think kachikochi cows are suppose to be like bulls, and that's why it's strong? If it's anything like shredded pork, it's good.

Shoudn't the correct term for "Kapuera" be "Capoeria"?

Is it just me or is that Capoeria outfit looks like it came from Tekken?

Well, at least die Konigin knows sometimes a woman needs a real punch. And besides, flexibility counts when you have to do a dynamic show.

Does it mean that she's been practising capoeira with Alto as her sparring partner? Wonder if she regularly defeats him.

The entry was in January 2059. Episode 1 started March 2, 2059 (Sherl's first concert on Frontier date), so it's from before she met Alto.

He's fortunate she is practicing Capoeira, not, say, Sambo (regardless of sheer inanity of the thought). His hair would be in great danger.

Oops, I see. So the line "(Hime learned this the hard way it seems") was ickem's own words?

Eheh, so sorry, I thought it was Sheryl's.

Title: Kiss

A song born in the evening becomes a girl.

A song born in the morning becomes a boy.

Without love, words cannot flow.

Words in turn ride the palpitations and become song.

My lips are red because of your repeated kisses of song.

Kisses of song. From the lyrics is a metaphor for kisses of love.

It's a shame that after the Macross Frontier ended, blog posts in Sheryl's blog also stopped. I was hoping for some new info about her life...

It'll probably stay that way... since any more blog posts would hint at what happened after the ending.

Something hopefully the movie or future ova's will solve.

They were often rather vague and off track with the blog. I mean her learning Capoeira martial arts or doing pelades or talking about how people use business cards does not give us insight on any relationship status. And if they were crafty they could imply things without actually saying it which would keep the Macross fans on their toes and constantly debating what the secret meaning of sentences mean.

I think it would be a good on going publicity tool. I would keep it going if I were them. Just as some kind of filler till the movie. Maybe even talk about side stories and with them post single frame animated shots to better illustrate the blog topic. For example talking about how Sheryl does a benefit concert to raise money to help support the rebuilding project of the Zentran Mall or something like that. I think a writer and animator could have fun with it. You wouldn't need to much effort to do something like that and it would keep interest up.

I say all that as if someone on the Macross development team is going to come in here and say, "Oh that guy has a good idea." or some shit like that. Delusional grandeur.
