Sound! Euphonium Anticipation

Upcoming novel adaptation. Short premise:

Quote:
The original novel's story follows of the Kitauji Music club, which used to always advance to national competitions. Ever since the adviser changed, though, it hasn't advanced past the Kansai tournament. However, thanks to the newly appointed adviser's strict instruction, the students are steadily improving. The club members' daily lives are full of ups and downs including fights over solos and the decision resign club activities to focus on studies.

The book doesn't appear to be from any of the normal light novel publishers, so maybe there's hope for this.

Well, I'll wait for more info to see how this goes, without a staff I can't say much.

Although my love for the cello already convinced me... a little.

Didn't mean it as a bad thing .

Let me guess one of the adaptions you want - Sayonara Piano Sonata?

That would be a good one, but between the author killing his career by badmouthing other writers on 2ch, and the Beatles' "Blackbird" being integral to the story, it'll never happen.

For myself I would like to see the manga "Kono Oto Tomare!" get an adaptation, but I am plenty fine with checking this one out.

A Kira☆Kira anime would be very nice, but this looks interesting too.

+1. 1 musical OVA was not enough. They should make a series.

"Moderately interesting" is about right... I like the character art, though.

If we're gonna go VN, still waiting for G Senjou no Mao. That has a classical music theme element afterall! (though of course that's not the main reason I want one).

Anyways, back on topic, I'll definitely try it but I am getting a little worried at the over-saturation of so much music anime lately.

Don't remind me about it. Such a pain it's still not animated.

Yaoran confirms. Either KyoAni has owned this property all along, they bought it specifically for purposes of adaptation, or they're making an exception from their recent practice.

Oh ho? Now I am even more curious....

No announcements about which season it will be airing in, though, I assume?

Hmm.

You, uh. You realize that they didn't own the last show they did either, right?
