The update pace and overall length seems a little lacking for my tastes but...

While it's tagged no harem so it's not even worth asking that, is there romance seeing as I see a girl on the cover.

Yea, I've been postponing on reading this too for the updates are very irregular

Yeah, that's the reason I did too. When I learned of the series it hadn't updated for like two months and I bailed ship before I even got on board.

But I decided I might as well join the waiting line to hell and started.

Also, the virtual reality tag is out of place; it's only VR for the first chapter, and they dismiss it still being a game within their first like 10 minutes after the transfer.
And then reality hits them in the face, over and over and over just so they make sure they double don't think it's a game.

One of the things I like about the author is that he really is interested of things outside Japan as we can see from his settings & research on his worlds backgrounds.

Last chapter also had a rather interesting note for us foreign fans (In complete English):

There's romance and the protagonist is actively avoiding a harem.
A loli and a bar waitress have both hit on him, and he simply ignores them while talking about how much he loves Eileen.

Some rather big spoilers in the comments above but fortunately nothing that puts me off. I very much prefer to have a "true couple" rather than another damn harem...

Will Eileen return to earth? Kinda impossible, but if she does, it will be the most shocking development ever. Somewhere inside me, I want that to happen, since Kei is so popular there and his true nariagari will begin.

I noticed that a few chapters had been translated since I last looked. Had felt like things were dragging but the most recent stuff was good.

How do we figure out the type of the poison? Go and "ask" those who know...

Simple, but effective.

Spoiler for Fun scene: So there's the cliche scene where the protagonist accidentally fails to land a fatal blow on a pretty woman mixed up with manly thieves who came to attack him. Of course, like every woman in this scenario, she does the 'K-kill me!' thing. So the protagonist immediately lodges an arrow in her right eye, killing her. It's about fucking time I found someone who would do that. He hesitated a little when he found out 'he' was actually a she, and seemed to feel needless remorse over it compared to the other bandits, but hey, at least he did it, right? Also, ninja girl in the art is designed a lot more cool-looking (a cool beauty in her ninja outfit) or respectable rich girl than she actually is. She's a total tomboy who acts tough whenever she can. Which is a lot.
