the whole series has been garbage since the first arc of higurashi imo

That arc was great. But it gradually got worse. And worse. And worse.

and slice of life? how about just, not something stupid disguising itself as something not stupid. And piggybacking itself off previous undeserved success

this anime has everything going for it. Great artists, great voice actors, great everytyhing. But it still fails. And will be forgotten pretty quickly a few years from now imo. Because it's only dressed up to look like it's good. When it really really isn't.

Have you ever thought why the topics of the discussion between Beatrice and Battler were always about the murders, not that "stop time" thing? And why Beatrice never asked Battler to explain it?

From Battler's point of view, he's dead. What Beatrice does to him in the world of the dead (or whatever your belief systems allows for), makes no difference to Battler. Its all the stuff going down in the "real world" that Battler is disbelieving. because magic doesn't exist. (There is nothing that state that an afterlife doesn't exist in Battler's mind...thus being dead doesn't seem to phase him all that much...except that he has to deal with this Beatrice lady.)

we, the big number of fans, are a little bit smarter than that to just overlook a major plothole, in your pov..
