It has been quite a while since a main character's monologue made me chuckle, that is definitly a good sign. No actually I think this can be comedy gold.

Now all we need to hear is that its being written by Gatoh himself and we will be all set to go.

I'd be shocked if he weren't greatly involved with the project, whether he actually writes the screenplay himself or not. He did write the original work anyway.

Good news indeed! I loved what he did with Hyouka. Hope he can deliver something as good! ^^

I care less about LN covers and more about who the staff is involved. Takemoto is directing this who directed Key series, Haruhi and Hyouka and the author is the same person who wrote the Full Metal Panic. This isn't the same crew that made K-on, Nichijou, Chuunibyou, Free, Kyoukai no Kanata and all the other junk they produced.

And the author was also the one responsible for adapting the script for what is, to me at least, the best show the studio has done since K-On got off the air: Hyouka.

To be fair Nichijou and Chuunibyou are pretty good for what they are. (Absurd comedy and RomCom respectively)

You literally just judged a book by it's cover. Also maybe you should take a look at the manga before you say things like "or rather I expect to drop this after few eps". If you enjoy what you read, you'll have more idea of whether or not you'll enjoy the anime. If not it'll save you some time you could be spending on an anime you might enjoy more.

^ Because you can go check the episodes he worked on to see a glimpse on how will he direct this show.

Either way, I want the MAN, Gatoh, to work on this.

It certainly can. Take Sakura Trick, for example, the director worked on a few episodes of hidamari sketch, and if you ask anyone who watches the series, more often than not it feels like hidamari if the girls actually made out.

Don't know much about this particular director, but if someone who worked on hyoka is on the helm, there's certainly hope for this to be good.

He directed Hyouka,FMP, Disappearance, and most of Lucky Star. No need to look at the individual episode stuff from shows he didn't direct like KnK. The best comparison would be Fumuffu.

Other than Kigami, he's the best director at the studio by far.

All they need to do now is show a PV or key visual & cast, and I might be really sold in looking forward to this.

On my radar mostly for the designs and for the Full Metal Panic author, in addition to an interesting intro chapter of the manga.

Now if only that cool looking and sounding Cop Craft: Dragnet Reloaded by Gatoh and Range Murata could get animated too since it sounds awesome.
