@n0m@n: Not to mention all three heroines love Ren. Which is why it's a pity that there's no romance. Well, adventure is also fine, but in that case the heroines shouldn't have had any feelings for the hero. I feel that having the heroine(s) be in love with the hero and yet not include any romance is a mistake on the author's part. Universally and without question.
Edit: One post late. @Akasaki Rin: I want to know about that, too. And also about what I said before (Zelbright in comparison to Eleline and also Ren in comparison to Eleline).

Just read Volume 2 Chapter 5 on MofuMofu. Pretty good, though I'm still peeved by Ren not noticing that the Dragon he keeps singing praises to Kyelse of was none other than Kyelse herself.
I still liked how Ren defeated Calra, though. But the spoilers were a bit misleading. In the spoilers, it said Calra turns away and lets Ren and Kyelse leave, but that's not what it seems actually happened from the translation. I mean, aren't all of the Dragons at the Valley, including Calra, watching them as they leave? And Calra stood facing their way and talked to Kyelse, too. I'll read this series because I'm interested in the ending and in whether or not Ren reaches Eleline's level in swordsmanship by the end of the series or not, but I still don't like the fact that there's no actual romance (i.e. that Ren doesn't hook up with any of the three and there's no True Harem ending either). I would've wanted Ren to keep all three of these princesses as his harem, but it seems like it won't happen and I hate that. Ah, well (if not a harem, at least let him hook up with one of them - preferably Kyelse or Fear).

Well, the girls seem to love him from what I know, but they still leave it at just the "friends adventuring together" stage until the end. I don't know why. It's really a pity IMO.

Kyelse confessed earlier, IIRC, and Fear also confessed. Elise seems interested, since otherwise she wouldn't have been disappointed when Ren won against her brother. Her brother had set the condition that if Ren lost, he'd marry Elise. Take that how you will.
Which it's why it's strange. Even if he didn't know about Elise's feelings, he was still aware of Kyelse's and Fear's feelings at least, and yet it was still left at just the "friends adventuring together" stage. It's possible that it's because a Dragon, an Angel and/or a Demon in a relationship with a human (the "and/or" is to note the possibility of all three being with him in a harem situation) wouldn't work out since the human would die a lot sooner than the other three. Dragons, Angels and Demons are much longer-lived than humans, after all. If they had entered into a relationship, and then Ren died after living the life of a regular human, the girl or girls he was with out of those three would be left hurt. They'd recover and move on afterwards, but some of the pain would still remain. There are injuries of the heart that even time can't completely heal. But that seems weird for a story since it's a Fantasy story; if the author had wanted, he could still have done something to make the relationship work. So if that was the reason, it feels weird.

I'd like that, but as long as there's no news of it, it's better to believe there won't be a sequel.
But that being said, would anyone who's read the whole series in Japanese care to verify what I said in my previous post? It'd be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
