Aria is manga adaptation. It's strange to make a sequel for completed adaptation of completed manga.

My bet it's either some totally new story or smth related to Kaleido star

I would go completely bonkers if this were true but sadly I'm more inclined to think that it's not an Iyashikei series. Tamayura is running right now and I'm not seeing director Sato going for another series of the same genre straight away.
