I honestly believe the reason why Sumika isn't as easily likeable is because compared to the other girls, she never really had a chance to prove she is awesome.

Spoiler for Sumika:

Personally I think Sumika was made to be the central pivotal of the entire alterverse from the beginning, no matter in Unlimited or Alternative or any of the side stories,
Spoiler for Desu~ Ex Sumika:

Where is "somewhere"? All I know is Amaterasu dropped it from their project list.

Also, Sumika only looks like a childish girl who madly falls in love with a guy. In this case, I think she's quite normal since some girls in real also act like her.

well sumika is a typical childhood friend archetype , her comedic interaction are mainly for silly punchline line for Takeru , and Sumika is quite friendly and sociable to Meiya and the rest ( Well extra verse and Final extra well she's quite attach to Kasumi ... as expected )

I got a really nagging feeling about the XM-3 future if this was gun*am verse i think it can be modified like ALICE system [Advanced Logistic and Inconsequence Cognizing Equipment] http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/ALICE or NT-D like system later on

Somewhere up in Mediafire.
I remember posting it up here some time last year, because a guy on /a/ did a part of the translations.
It seems that the link is dead for now, though. I'll just ask him to reupload or something.

Translation up to Air Soft arc. Instructions inside. Thank the kind souls of /a/ for translating and making plugin. Kinda awesome that the guy who made the plugin also tamed the rUGP 6.0 so maybe someday we'll see TDA translated.

It's quite early in the game then.

In the end, it's similar to Extra. I prefer Alternate where the story is more serious.

Well I finished Altered Fable, did both Meiya and Yuuhi routes. Pity is that they are somewhat similar. Neverless AF is good for relaxing after the shit that went down in Alternative.

Which is the main reason I want to try it, problem is that I am not associated with the ways of going about procuring a VN either and on top of that, would never be able to find a translation on my own.

Being new to VNs when they have pleased me thus far is quite saddening.

It should be fine as long as you understand oral japanese. If you don't understand oral japanese, then yes it's quite hard to understand the story.

I'd rather just buy the game instead of the box promo. A little rip-off considering the game itself is just to fill in a missing little piece of the story(for me that is).

For people who have just gotten into Muv-Luv in the last 6 months, I would suggest looking at one of Kouki's earlier works Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (Rumbling Hearts in the US).

For me I basically went from TE anime-TE novel summaries-MuvLuv Alternative-MLE Altered Fable-MuvLuv Chronicles-MuvLuv Extra/Unlimited-Ayumayu Alternative-Kimi Nozo Anime-Akane Maniax Anime-Daikuuji Iki ippatsu.

Just need to go through Kimi ga ita Kisetsu, Kimo Nozo and Akane Maniax game.

Working backwards always work.

It is very likely that the TE VN will use cg stills instead of the A3 figures in Altered Fable and Tech Gian.
