Hyouka is a full adaptation. It goes by everything the writer does. With only 1 book left you can't blame KyoAni for not being able to do anything.

I still haven't watched it so should I give Hakkeden a go? (by the way is it an adaptation of a manga or something?)

I will never, ever figure out Studio DEEN.

Anyhoo, nice to hear. This show is a sleeper, very solid.

Yes, there's a manga but I haven't read it so I can't tell how good or bad it is.

As for whether you'd watch it or not... well, I think it mostly depends on how easily entertained you are. It's not a great show by any means. But it's deliciously retro (it's like something out of the late '90s or early '00s!), the character design is pretty, the voice-acting is good, and while story-wise it's been pretty meh for the first 8-9 episodes, the last two episodes were surprisingly strong, and apparently there's even a plot which will be hopefully explored in S2.

It's P.A. Works! There are doing two shows this season? Well this one looks like a better show than Red Data Girl.

It's not a series, just a short film to advertize Nanto.

Actually all of the characters there are voiced by the 6 seiyuu's from the original True Tears

I've seen that manga in shops and always found the cover art pretty winning - it looks interesting.

I wonder when "Hi Score Girl" is going to get an adaptation. I see that heavily displayed seemingly at every bookstore, and it was just nominated for a Manga Taisho. I suppose with only three volumes there's no great rush.

Kyoukai no Kanata” – Light Novel to Anime Adaptation

The official website for Torii Nagomu’s (author) and Kamoi Chise’s (illustrator) slice-of-life/supernatural light novel series, 「Kyoukai no Kanata」 (境界の彼方 / Beyond the Boundary), has announced that an anime adaptation is currently in development. It will be produced by studio Kyoto Animation.

In addition, the second volume of the novel will be published on April 8th.

Last year, KyoAni released an animated TV commercial for the light novel. You can view the ad below.

*Synopsis:

The story follows a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Although the boy appears human, he is half youmu and invulnerable to wounds because he can heal quickly. One day, Akihito meets freshman Mirai Kuriyama when it seems she is about to jump from the school rooftop. Mirai is isolated because of her ability to manipulate blood, which is unique even among members of the spirit world. Disturbing events begin to unfold after Akihito saves Mirai.

Phh. I liked the first one(7Arcs made a really good job with the series, just that the main audience is not in such a stories) and music is the one thing Satelight always good with so I'll watch it.

The first White Album was ok, but I did prefer the manga version of it a bit more.

White Album 2 is longer and much better than the first WA.
It has almost no connection to WA except from some of the songs and the same town.
