Haha, the reason is due to our great lord above giving us either only combat summaries or only relationship interaction summaries. Harem still makes up very little of the light novel.. I can see why it'd be funny though!

in my impression, his troop always been borrowed troop. well its awesome in its own way

It'd be cool if this one ended that way, but who knows? From the summaries, this seems like an Open End to me. Hopefully I'm wrong.

IIRC, he has a militia or whatever from his own village. But it might have been temporary.

To put it in perspective; all those bits of heroine interaction and humor? It only comprises roughly 20% of volume 4 compared to the political action and medieval warfare, and that's how it's been with every volume thus far. Most of it is also in character/has a purpose and not just thrown in, making them more important than the usual vapid fan service scenes found in other works.

Plus, I merely included that bit with the heroines in a test to see which would people prioritize and flock to more; the action or the heroine lovecom bits. Guess I got my answer, though I don't have to necessarily like it.

He still has his own troops. Plus he's not borrowing troops so much as rallying them to his cause; think Suikoden-level awesome.

I'm one of the ones that actually likes the action more than the rest.

I really want to know what future awaits Tigre and his team.

I like both the action and the heroine interaction =w= tho I'm completely fine with the way the novel is going atm, lots of politics and military (and Tigre-style awesome moments) but at the same time there's still those little romance here and there =w=

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I dislike it. I like both of those elements in the story.

in my opinion this ln similiar to arpeggio of blue steel, which is one of my favorite series. romance part is just sweetener in the otherwise brutal warfare and politics

He was in no condition to use it against Barbarossa's army. If he used it and passed out/got fatigued more than he already was, it would be more of a detriment than a benefit. That's another reason why I like this story; they may have mysterious/magical weapons, yes, but the owners themselves are nowhere near invincible and actually have to balance the benefits and detriments of using such things with regards to the bigger picture. A Vanadis might have the power of one thousand knights and magical abilities, but overwhelm her and wear her attrition out and she is as good as dead. Tigre's bow might be powerful, but he himself has little idea of how to use it and is unsure as to just how much it drains out of him whenever he uses it.

Tigre only used the power of the bow in tandem with Lyudmila when Voljenoi came to pay them a "surprise visit" and lured them away from Silvmeteor's camp, after the battle with Barbarossa and the Muozinel troops' retreat back to their country.

Seconded. I think of the romance and fanservice as rewards to those who follow the story and characters closely. It really pays off well in this instance.

Drachvach is the elderly fortune teller who is under Tenaldie's service. He is the one who provides Tenaldie with the dragons, and is the one who has figured out that it was Tigre's bow that shot down Zaian and the flying dragon (which was said to be impenetrable by any weapon made by man), and seems to know about Tigre's bow's true colors. As of Volume 4's end, he is the one who provides the fearsome two headed dragon to Tenaldie, as well as four other dragons.

Voljenoi is the "young man" running around doing errands for Drachvach in exchange for gold coins (that is, he eats them like cake). He was the one who recovered the carcass of the flying dragon that Tigre shot down, and he also happily offered to kill Tigre once Drachvach found out about the "Bow having reappeared" after examining said carcass. It seems no one else but a Vanadis and Tigre can sense his presence. He lured Tigre and Lyudmila to a separate spot from Silvmeteor's camp after the Muozinel battle and tried to finish off both of them, but was beaten by an ice shot from Tigre's bow. He also mentions that Tigre right now is weak; but confides to Drachvach how scary it is that Tigre's skill with the bow is improving at a fast rate. Lyudmila remarked how his name is the exact name of a frog demon in folklore, and it seems to be right as his fighting style, stance (and even tongue usage) are very much like a frog's.
