This show is goofy. I approve. Especially love how Potemayo herself is supposedly so cute but is really selfish and nasty... except that nobody can tell usually because she doesn't speak human languages. And Guchuko just cracks me up how she's all powerful and evil-looking... but then she runs around fixing everything she breaks. The tape business is so funny! I'd love a Guchuko plush... but then I might have to explain it to someone, and that would be embarassing...

Claimed and repped.

When I read this, something evil leapt into my mind immediately. I don't have time to do an animated version tonight, but here is something that I bet Seven Seas won't be licensing anytime soon....
Spoiler for Potemayo no Jikan, aka Potemayoette:

how about substituting potemayo with guchuko

On closer look, potemayo seems to be not cute at all albeit being cute when watched from a distance

guchuko is a total WIN ^_^

This seems to be the season's successor to the Petopeto-San/Gargoyle mantle - the odd, genre-bending title with an irresistible charm to it. Definitely weirder than either of those shows, though. Great dialogue and sight gags, and I love Sunao as a lead - that impassive demeanor is great. I can't think of a single character on the show that doesn't work for me, and that's pretty rare - I hope it continues to be as charming as it is so far.

Spoiler for Potemayo no Jikan, aka Potemayoette:
And if I could read Japanese, I woul;d probably have some idea why that could be so disturbing.

Oh, I have no doubt that it is. Everything involving the Demonic Cutie from Hell's Fridge is, in its way, profoundly disturbing. But somehow this seems to be especially frightening.

"Weird" Al Yankovic is the most famous and popular parodist of popular music currently working in the United States, with more than fourteen studio albums to his credit. Over a career that has spanned more than twenty years, he has alternately annoyed and flattered just about every major figure in western popular music and earned respect for his lyrical talents, understanding of musical form, and well-developed absurdist wit. He has also starred in (and scored) a feature film, had a run on a Saturday Morning TV series and become known as one of the most accomplished directors of music videos (remember music videos?). His body of work is used with great frequency by AMV producers and flash animation makers -- most notably the eleven-minute shaggy-dog story 'Albequerque". ("So I opened up the door, and just as I suspected it was a big fat hermaphrodite with a Flock of Seagulls haircut and only one nostril. Oh, man, I hate it when I'm right!") A familiarity with Weird Al is virtually mandatory in American science fiction fandom.

He has also maintained a deliberately absurdist public image (including truly bizarre tastes in food) while keeping his privacy well guarded concerning his personal affairs.

Um.... Does anyone know why there is a Potemayo 5 on the torrents list...?

I only have [PmS]'s sub of episode 1. And there haven't been any other releases. Now all of the sudden there's a Potemayo 5 released from... Anonymous. O.o

Seems someone forgot a few episodes. O.O

I'll try that...

Does anyone know if PmS (which, I guess, was made for the sole purpose of Potemayo) or Anime-Share will continue with subbing Potemayo?

KiNA: here's some help (a Cowboy Bebop AMV from an episode you'd think that they'd wrote for that song!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu5pn4MM3Mc

otherwise, just either google "Weird Al" or search for him on YouTube.

[ontopic]I thought the duct tape one was real funny!

I've been seeing a lot more anonymous subs lately of series that I didn't expect to see them of. Are people simply no longer deciding to form semi-public groups out of fear of the legal system? Or do subtitlers simply have a desire to be left alone and not have to deal with people second-guessing their formatting and translation choices?
