i remember there was a anime about selling ore trading ure brain ( memory,s / knowledge )

ore ma by a manga about it

i remember reading about it some time ego ( though it can be my own imagination )

Uh, this is a pretty difficult identification...

But just throwing it out there, an early arc of Bakuman, a manga (+ anime) about making manga, has the main characters writing a one-shot story titled "Money and Intelligence" with what seems to be your exact premise. Is this what you remembered?
