You know, I'm wondering how the Crunchy Roll version is going to look like. They played Katyusha in the background in one of the scenes, and cutting that out would be way more awkward than the last ep.

With all the problems with licensing, how did Super Dodge Ball get away with it? Was it just that no one noticed?

I wonder if CR could get away with just muting the audio for this stuff. It would wreck the song, but at least it wouldn't result in [SCENE MISSING].

Do note that it's not Crunchyroll at fault for the edit, but rather the production studio themselves: note how the Crunchyroll version doesn't have the credits for Katyusha at the ED, while the original broadcast does. It's unlikely that Crunchyroll has the ability to edit things like what Japanese text appears on the video so well like that, and Crunchy did reply that the version without Katyusha was the one they received directly from the studio.

Ah, so ep. 9 will most likely just have the BGM missing instead of the scene cut, since the studio does that part of the editing?

Found a clip from radio show that aired today? (yesterday from where I am) of Uesaka Sumire talking bout ep. 8. Her tension is way up there; you can really tell how much she loves them Russian stuff.

It's interesting that again every possible point in which fanservice would come out in this episode has been avoided again.
It's interesting that the series is mostly consistent about its own tempo in events and action sequences. The budged allocated is quite consistent as well as it's hard to spot a lot of noticeable drops in quality.

I just started listening to the full show, and it just seems that her eye was a bit red. She found it the perfect time to put on the patch, since she's also in Chuunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai.

The lack of fanservice is what makes this show great. I really hate when great shows get ruined by unnecessary fanservice. I'm glad this show is not like that.

Wow, this episode was great, I'm crazy for the next week, simultaneous shots at the end almost made my heart stop. Excellent driving and shooting of the Student Council, they should keep this formation for the 38(t) (this tank can really do a good damage in the right hands, only needed good motivation). Now, the new tank was not going to be a Tiger?

Spoiler for Episode 9: So the Panzer 38(t) is functional in combat against T-34s at point blank range...with two in the turret. The Student Council proves that they can be a competent team when the Prez acts instead of just sitting around eating the whole match. And Momo is a good fast loader. So that bring the team to having four competent teams (the freshmen and morality squads so far haven't been much more than screening tanks for the Flag tank. We don't know if they can operate offensively yet.) The Volleyball team is competent, but they still have the Type 89 handicap. At least they managed to make it useful as the flag tank. The Panzer IV and StuG are basically their combat team in teams of accuracy and ability. If they manage to keep the Panzer 38(t) with two in the turret it might be effective in joining the offensives. At least against anything with lesser armor than a T-34. The judges will need to call the final hits in this match. IS-2 or StuG III winning shots? Though hopefully the IS-2 didn't just outright kill the Type 89 (crew included), as even if they shot first, they would be disqualified I think. Though that tank needs to go, it wouldn't do to lose the volleyball team. We can see the StuG's blast stopped the T-34 cold, but we can't see what the IS-2 did to the Type 89. The new team with the Type 3 would definately add to the offensive punch of the squad along with their Tiger (P). I assume the engineering team will get that one since it is reportedly a maintenance nightmare. Though the Type 3 has a five man crew they have only three girls. It would at least be on par with the Panzer IV. It is the best tank Japan had in any number in the war...even though it never saw combat. __________________
