Isekai Goumon-hime [Light Novel]

Illustration: Saki Ukai
Story: Keishi Ayasato
Fremd Torturchen (異世界拷問姫 / Isekai Goumonhime), literally "Torture Princess of Another World".
Translation: Here

Plot Summary:
Quote:
"I am Elisabeth Le Fanu the 'Torturchen,' both a proud wolf and a lowly sow."

Sena Kaito was reborn in another world after his death and confronted with a peerless beauty, Elisabeth, who had before his eyes. Calling herself "Torturchen," she commanded Kaito to become her servant, but he refused on the spot. When Elisabeth presented Kaito with the choice of either torture or butler, he immediately submitted and began to serve at Elisabeth's side, to accompany her until she completed her mission. Unbelievably, it turned out that Torturchen's mission as a condemned sinner was to eliminate fourteen ranked demons and their contractors!

"Yes, indeed. I shall die, as lonely as a wolf and as pitifully as a sow."

Ayasato Keishi x Ukai Saki! This awesome partnership offers a masterpiece of dark fantasy in another world! Here begins the legend of world salvation, undertaken by the maiden who had been condemned by the world.

Another isekai LN, seems like in Japan is the boom right now because these kind of stories are all over the place.

For now only the Elisabeth seems to be an interesting character, Kaito on the other hand... seems like the average MC. What I really love from this one is the art and the designs, they are so well done that is amazing. On a side note, we have blood already in the first volume.

@zztop, yes he is.

@AB079 Thanks. I think Ukai Saki's a woman though; I recall reading a translation of Black Bullet's author afterwords where he said Ukai was female.

Why are there so many isekai and tensei (web) novels recently? Is the concept really that interesting? In most of these stories, the isekai aspect doesn't even factor much into the plot and is completely abandoned later on.

Isekai stories were always a genre with some nice titles like MT for example or Shieldbro, but when japan realized they can make a shit ton of money from them is thanks to the recent success of Re:Zero.

Art looks nice, especially pic related, will wait for more translations to comment on story itself.
Spoiler for NSFW:

Ukai Saki illustrates many series, not just Black Bullet.

Apart from this one, her more recent ones include:

Cover of Volume 3 (release date: February 25) is out, looks like it's back to Elisabeth:

It's right there on the MF Bunko J official site, but I'm sure most readers probably want to finish Volume 2 before spoiling themselves on what happens next.

It will be cool to finish vol 2, but there is no update from January. I check it daily, heh.
