Best news of the year.
BEST NEWS OF THE YEAR. I almost lost my mind when I saw the news on twitter. One of the best BL out there finally is getting an adaptation. But le sigh, they didn't use the cast from the drama CD for the anime. I was very fond of Soma's acting as Mafuyu. |

I didn't know this had a US stream (Crunchyroll) until just now. I'll probably give it a try later today.

Wow, wow. Nice premiere. It actually captures the mood of the manga really well.
And despite I missed Soman, the VA are really nice too. From the OP, I assume they are going to do the Akihiko/Ugetsu arc as well? If so, I pray we get 2 cur, or else there is no way this is going to work. |

I'm still fascinated by the characters. I really hope to learn more about Mafuyu and his back story in the coming episodes. (No spoilers, please!) I knew that Mafuyu would become the band's singer. (Rather obvious from the OP.) But his voice was much more lovely than I expected. I immediately went back and played the brief song a second time. Even with only 2 episodes watched, this show has became a prime candidate for my favorite show of the season.

The show continue to impress. The scene where Mafuyu runs away is spot on. All of his character, right there.
The adaptation is very well done. It doesn't follow the manga panel by panel, but throws in enough stuff of its own to make it flow better as an anime. The same time they did not alter the material just because and still kept the mood of the original intact. Why can't be more adaptations be like this? |
