The talk about a possible LN coming made me check the WN raws and I noticed that there were revisions in a few chapters. Some people might be a bit disappointed if these changes were made in preparation for the coming LN.

Spoiler for Changes:

It seems the main purpose of the change is to write Charlotte out of Rion's harem or at the very least give Arnold a chance to end up with her. I last checked the raws at around October last year so I don't know how accurate what I remember is but these are some of the changes as far as I remember.

Ch.102
A conversation where Arnold tells Charlotte that he wants to make their fake marriage real was added. I don't remember that being there before.

Ch.110
When Rion and Charlotte meet again after his disappearance, Charlotte confesses to Rion and asks him if it would be possibe for him to make her his wife someday. Rion comments something like 'I might be able to love you after all'. She was officially added to the harem after that. This part of the conversation was cut in the revised chapter and the conversation was shortened.

Ch.115
There's a conversation between Charlotte and her dad where the dad was worrying about her closeness to Rion. Her reply in the old version was something like it's too late to worry about that since he's already my husband. In the revised version, it was changed to her doubting whether a normal person like her can be with a special guy like Rion.

Ch.125
Rion is leaving Charlotte behind in Arnold's kingdom instead of taking her with him. He also tells Arnold not to give up on her.

It's been a long time since I last checked the raws though so I don't know how accurate my memory is.

Just finishing this WN, so there was actually such change. That's disappointing, to throw away Charlotte like that. Damn author.

I still cant get over from the revision, heck I still cant believe it. I really doubt if I will buy the LN for this, seeing the massive revisions in the last arcs. How I wish I can see the older versions of the chapter and save it, so I can read it again. Well congrats to this having a LN.

Just binge read the translation, it's fantastic. Very well put together compared to most WN series. Still another 37 or so chapters to go before it reaches the end, so about 10 months until I can read the finale.

As for the WN changes: I really like Charlotte but I don't really mind an ending with just Ariel. Rion's romance with her is so compelling that Charlotte would always be a pale shadow compared to Ariel. Like she wouldn't even really be "second fiddle" in the relationship, she'd be like "fifth accordian" or something.

Otherwise I'm kind of hoping if the LN goes well enough the author can write a follow up to the series.

Out of curiousity, how conclusive is the ending of the WN? Is it like "30 year later timeskip epilogue" conclusive? Or are their potential plot threads for Rion to pursue like unifying the continent under him?

Granted, going by how powerful Rion is in the latest translated chapter and his romance to a demigoddess finding additional conflict might be difficult.

Just finished reading this and this has now become my favorite Novel of all time. Rion is a very likeable MC and the romance is well done. Anything with polical intrigue or Kingdome Building is always a plus in my book. Ariel and Rion's chemistry is great as a couple. Charlotte is also great even though she started as a bad character due to her plots but deep down she's a good person. I'm rooting for her to join Rion and Ariel's little family because she deserves that happiness with how she tries so hard to take care of Ariel in Rion's absence. Frankly I'm surprise there are still comments in the TL site of them wanting her to meet a gruesome death. They hate Arnold as well. I can understand the hatred because of his part in Vincent's death but in Arc 2 he's grown as a character and is really trying to be a better person. The King on the other hand is just pathetic. That boy King from the Eastern Alliance has bigger balls than him. Maria has full blown become an vile antagonist. Rion better hurry and get back to the Gran Flamm Kingdom to save his love ones because it's looking like a full blown civil war is on the horizon. And thanks to Maria introducing canons and gunpowder into that world it's gonna be a bloody affair.
