Can't wait for the summary of volume 22.. theres still unanswered questions about what happened in the novel

It's some last words from Itou Noizi, you know, the whole "thank you for reading all this years", "hope to see you again in my next story" kind of thing. My Japanese isn't so good so I can only read some of the words.

Good day, this is Itou.

For nine long years we have been together, and if we look back, we realize how much has come past us. And I was fortunate enough to write the afterword for this volume.

Actually, I have a lot of things to talk about, but as with Takahashi-san's afterword, I was not expecting that I'd be given this rare chance in such short notice.

At that time, I don't know what kind of afterword I would write, but I eventually managed to think of some way to extend my thoughts.

To the people who tirelessly helped out in the illustrations, to the author Takahashi-san, to the editor-in-chief Miki-san, and to everyone who loves Shana, thank you very much!

I'll be looking forward to the day when we meet again!!

P.S.
The final season of the anime series has already broadcast, and please look forward to the many scenes which have not been illustrated in the light novels!

wow finally! I took a long break from this but always looked forward to the last novel (with some trepidation as it wasn't clearly how it was gonna end). this is one series that I really obsessed over (for a while anyway) and started doing translations etc. ending sounds great. don't have time to translate now but that's hardly necessary with the anime now airing. just wish the anime episodes would come quicker

Others have mentioned that based on this image, Shana's past may be animated. Then again, in which volume it was mentioned? Perhaps the last volume?

I don't know what volume it was, but I think it'll show how Shana realised the most powerful spell (which is love) when Shinko sorta mentioned about it somewhere in her past. Its pretty much one of the most important events in this series anyway

I agree...but.., for met he most exciting thing in this novel..is what Yuji did....(become the leader of the enemies...)

what I mean is that is always exciting when the two main character in love (Shana-Yuji)..have to fight each other...

However...this novel is really amazing..from all points of view....

Sorry, I did not mean that. What I mean about Shana's past is that it was when Shana as a orphan was being discovered by Wilhelmina. The image of Shana I quoted is clearly much younger than when she was trained by both Wilhelmina and Shiro.

Denizens are prohibited from eating humans. Surviving Flame Hazes and Denizens move to the New World Memory of Flame Hazes' and Denizens' and the traces of their existence eliminated from the Present World. Yuji - separated from the Snake. Works hard for the sake of humans and Denizens coexisting in the New World. Shana - follows Yuji Yoshida - used Hiralda but didn't die. Left in the Present World. Margery - left in the Present World for the sake of Satou Ryananshi (who's that) ?
