I believe it's called DSi LL.

Anyway, I guess it would be good for the western user base, since I always hear the complain of the "small" DS from them.

It's both. XL is the American name, LL is the Japanese one (LL is apparently the Japanese equivalent of XL in clothing sizes).

This is especially great for older people who prefer a bigger screen and a bigger stylus. Nintendo is doing a good job catering to a different demographic.

Jesus Christ it's like a mini-laptop now. I honesty am not too fond of it though, as I am still quite satisfied with the petiteness of my DS Lite and will be sticking to this until next generation unless they make a DSi only game that I must get at all costs.

Bigger screen and a bigger stylus, not bad. Yup, i'm one of those older folks who prefer bigger screens and bigger gamepads, because i'm short sighted and have big hands. I reckon it will be called XL in the west rather than LL.

In my opinion, the DSi XL is overkill... Since
the screen is so big... But wouldn't the bigger screen reduce screen quality?

In my opinion, the regular dsi is fine... XL is too bulky.

It really depends on the quality of the panel and the viewing distance.

I knew about this, but I didn't think it was that big O_O

The same size as a DVD case... but it sure is intriguing... I'll have to think it over.

I think that the DSi LL is even more bulkier than the original DS in weight and size (about 16g more than the original DS which weighs 300g)... I think that the DSi LL would be tiresome to carry around since it weigh a little more due to it's size and also the weight compared to the regular DSi and DSL.

Compared to the iPhone or even the iPod touch which weighs even less, it looks small compared to this, but this is good if you don't have very good eyes.
