You asked. Here's my list of top songs of the year [Song title - Anime]:
1. Someone Else - Working!! Still my favorite since the sort of energy it brings to the table is absolutely infectious. 2. Hikari no Senritsu - Sora no Woto I love the folksy atmosphere that it brings to the table. 3. Brave Song - Angel Beats The air of contentment that it brings is just so wonderful that it matches the anime's themes of accepting one's situation. 4. Yasashisa ni Tsutsumareta Nara – Tamayura It reminds me of sketchbook's OP with the guitar bits. Plus, Maaya Sakamoto is solid. 5. Kami-sama no Iu Toori - Tatami Galaxy Etsuko's voice continues to lull me with its tones. There's something about it that's just mesmerizing. 6. Downtown - Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru I love the jazzy bits that get sprinkled in. 7. Now Loading... Sky! - Asobi ni Iku yo Still my favorite Sphere work to date. 8. Inori no Kanata – Tales of Symphonia: Tethe'alla Hen Akiko Shikata's vocals are still going on strong! That should be all I think... I'll see if I can come up with two more to round out the list.

To be honest I dislike this list (It seems Japan is really taken over by Cats, Squids, and Light Music Club) as only 2,4,5, and 9 have made it on my listening list. Probably, I post my own version of Top Ten Anime Songs of 2010 by the end of the year.

I'm trying to figure out what people who like Aki Toyosaki see in her. Out of all the seiyuu singers who've risen to prominence, she's a real puzzler because she doesn't really sing all that well, and the more I hear of her, the more her singing begins to sour on me. :\

AKB48's "Beginner" was the best selling single with 954,283 copies sold but it seems the downward trend in sales is also affecting Japan's music industry where this year's sales are a far cry the last decade where the Top 10 songs all sold a million copies or more. @ThatGuyZak: I didn't forget SZS' OP, it's just that nobody has recommended it yet until now (I've checked). Although personally I think it's not one of the best OPs EVER or even the last decade it's still a great song with an interesting OP sequence to complement it so it's a no-brainer for it be included in the canon this week.

I suggested Honjitsu, Mankai Watashi Iro! two months after you started this thread. Finally, you added it on your inductions. That would only mean you started to like the music.
